Rhapsody in Blue Piano Cover Part 1
I had a rather remarkable day and finally got around to tuning Vivi (my piano) and upped my recording software at my friends place (he houses Vivi and all the recording stuff) because he records music for a living.
What else better to play than one of my favorite piano pieces ever... Rhapsody in Blue.
Enjoy everyone!!!

P.S.
I resent FA because i cannot post the entire recording because it is over 17 minutes long and the file size is astronomical... so i had to RUIN IT BY CUTTING IT IN TWO!! But i was kinda happy where i was able to cut it (was a bar of silence and between phrases).

It's quite a shame that this site can't come to appreciate talent like this. This is way beyond anything I'd be able to do, and I'd dare say this might be the most technically challenging piece for piano ever uploaded on FA. Good on you putting all the work on it that you did. The reason FA has not increased the size limit is precisely because of its lack of attention to its musical users. Once again, well done.

She was built from the shell of a GB1 Yamaha Grand Piano. She was missing half of her Strings and hammers, so i had to order a lot of them and learned how to fix them myself. Took me months!
I magically know friends who are skilled woodworkers and metallurgists, so i combined their heads and we came up with a dual keyboard idea so we can all play the piano and have the ability to play two melodies at the same octave rather than have an upper and lower part. So we all hunted for another Yamaha grand piano in the dumps or one that was beyond repair but had a functioning keyboard.
Vivi has many meanings. It took Six of us Six years to make which began in 2006. Also, it happens to be a few of ours favorite Final Fantasy character... since we are all video game players and musicians.
After its completion. Some of my friends moved on to new states or have families now and have no time to play her... so she rest at my friends recording studio. Which is a HUGE basement with 14 feet ceilings with recording mics hooked up in all corners and in various locations. Based on the feel we want the pieces recorded to have, we selectively turn on/off mics. We can get a similar sound of a Concert Hall with my piano, rather than an up close and personal recording which can deafen the ears based on my volume tendencies.
This is the story thus far. I just pay him $ and he buys the parts for the sound system... since i have no idea of what is going on... i just write and play the music :)
