Rifle kinda reminds me of the French Mas 49

Excellent start. I always wonder about anthropomorphic foot wear and use. I like the aesthetic here, but the dangers of long marching and combat with that kind of arms to toes is questionable. Nonetheless, interesting stuff.

The uniform is maybe too complicated.

Might be a Peace-Time Uniform, the Uniforms produced in Wars were usually less fancy.

i can see some inspirations
MAS 49 for the rifle with FAL/FNC inspiration for the carry handle, barrel position and muzzle brake; and maybe STG 44 for the magwell (wich make me think that in the actual configuration, this weapon coundn't fire as the chamber would open in the magwell, covered by the front of the magzine and unreachable for the bolt)

the uniform in general make me trhink of the russian M43 and the belt (+jacket cut) remind the zouave uniform

Then you have to consider how their weapons will reflect their biomechanics. What kind of armored vehicles would a bunch of really bulky people build, if they'd build enclosed vehicles at all?

And what would they incorporate to remain competitive? Would larger species forgo, say, tanks, or would they just build them bigger and heavier and damn the high profile of the vehicles. Would smaller races embrace armored warfare over infantry, and create alliances to fill in strategic gaps?

What kind of guns would they carry, if a race had broad chests they might have grips extended out to the side like a Bren gun rather than holding the fore end of the rifle.

Questions with highly interesting answers, I'd say.

I applaud your efforts to make each species more that just a "human in a costume." That is not easy, as I myself am finding out to be regarding my own stuff. I will look forward to seeing how you further develop your setting as time goes on.
