Fabuland fanart
I'm not too satisfied with this. I tried for some warped, angled perspective and it didn't quite work but... You know, it's a learning experience.
Fabuland was an old Lego set comparable to animal crossing. It's really cute and has a large amount of unique pieces, and I want some but the sets are 20+ years old and incredibly expensive now. So that sucks.

Beautiful piece, I love the perspective! <3
Also speaking of old lego sets, did you ever see the Rock Raider sets? I played the video game and I swear, I was so hooked x3

Eh, I'm not satisfied with it. I'm always a bit off with digital art perspective... It's way harder to do perspective if you don't have a massive amount of surface area in front of you
But yeah, I'd heard of Rock Raiders but never knew anything about the sets. I know the game was really arcadey. Were they good?

I think that's the curse of the artist, never to be satisfied with their own work >n<
Yeah the Rock Raiders game was actually really fun, the music was great, a bunch of the concepts were cool. The core concept was that your ship is out of fuel and you have to teleport your crew down into varying levels of this alien planet, establishing a base camp in each area, building new kinds of digging equipment, preparing defenses and electric fences for alien encounters. In practice it was buggy, clunky and controlling your workers was frustrating as they had no priority queue. They would work through their list regardless of what orders /should/ have taken priority. But the concept is something that never left me~

Hmm interesting. I always liked games with neat settings despite some underwhelming gameplay, games are one of the mediums best to produce more elaborate worlds.
I absolutely agree <3
Some of my favourite games were buggy as hell but yeah, the worlds they can build still stick with me today~

Well, it was wise to make the point of infinity close to the center of this picture to add a sense of focus to this wonky perspective. The more cramped a space is, the tougher it gets, so I'm definitely going to give you props for this one.
Try bricklink.com for any of the old Lego sets you might want.
Often times you'll find things places like eBay won't have, and for lower prices.

Also I really like the fan theory that Legends of Chima is an evolved/post-apocalyptic Fabuland, that's hilarious to me

Bonnie Bunny was my first Fabuland character together with Clive Crocodile. I've had them longer I can remember :)
I actually really like the perspective! I think it turned out really well!
I wasn't big into legos to begin with, it was kind of my brother's thing. Still, would have loved to have these as a kid I think...
Awesome picture, it's really well done!
