Just a brief comic before I go to bed.
I was out a Barnes and Noble today and I walked out with
"Ghost Rider: Engine of Vengeance"
and
"Strawberry Panic"
...
one of them being a comic about a demon possessed teenager in a flaming dodge charger and the other a manga about fluffy, lesbian catholic schoolgirls falling in love...
I always feel really awkward when I walk up with a purchase like that because I feel like the Clerk is immediately judging and/or trying to narrow down what my taste must be
because that's what I'd be doing in their position.
I guess at least I didn't walk up with Monster Masume, which is literally straight-up monstergirl porn. Though if I ever did that, I'd just walk up with the whole stack, look them right in the eye, just slap my money on the table and walk out with my stack of shame.

I felt the same when I was buying my collections of Ruroni Kenshin and Azumanga Dio. :p

I know the feels, I kind of have make myself stare the clerk in the face with the best, 'if you don't ask and don't judge, this will be less awkward' face as I set down a copy of Rosario+Vampire on the counter, and if my middle sibling is with me, she usually sets down some vampire-romance manga, or occasionally a sailor moon manga next to mine, and then I end up buying both, and she gives me the cash she was gonna pay for hers >.> but the judging is just... even if they aren't, I kind of feel like they are.
