Commission done for utunu , thank you very much! :)
Very fun commission to work on , the briefing basically was either a hunting scene or one of the many celebrational festivities that are to be enjoyed throughout the year for the members of Utunu's tribe. Had two sketches that i felt were worth pursuing for this one, and it was one of those times where i wish i could have just gone and done both, since i felt both of them had great potential. But i think tultimately it was the best decision to go with this one since it's an idea that isn't as common as a more run-of-the-mill hunting scene, and , well unused ideas never are entirely scrapped, so who knows maybe i get a chance to adapt it for another piece later on.
Portrayed are Utunu and two of his tribemembers performing a dance choreography to celebrate the solstice as the tribe gathers to feast, dance, sing, tell ancient tales and just generally have fun together on this special occasion!

Holy wow, man. Crazy awesome depth effects! A real sense of motion here, too.
Thank you. Yep wanted to get down the feeling you also often have in motorsport photography, where you focus on the car and the other parts just kinda flash by in a blur.
Thank you, it's i believe the first piece of mine where a blurry effect is that prominent. I tend to stay away from them usually but i should probably switch to a more lax stance on using it.
You already know this, but I wanted to reiterate: I'm absolutely thrilled with how this came out!
You did a wonderful job, thank you so much! :)

I'm really glad to hear it, and as last time it's been an absolute pleasure working with you!

Thank you, and yeah, schools are weird sometimes. But it probably would have been the wrong way to go for me anyway.
you're a great artist so it's their loss. :P are you just going to go full on freelance and commissions then?
This looks like it belongs in National Geographic. Amazing.
As a photographer, I find this picture particularly impressive. It looks like a photograph that was exposed through a telephoto lens with the aperture wide-open and a fast shutter speed.
Thank you :) I didn't exactly think like that of course, but hey, if it turns out like that i guess that's a neat side effect! :D
I forgot about it when I wrote my post but you can see that very effect in a photo I made of two hyenas in my gallery. The front hyena really pops out like the wild dog in your picture while the other one blends much more into the background. I think that's one of the reasons why this work instantly grabbed my attention, it's something I've seen so many times. Again, stellar work you did when making that picture.
