-----------------------------------------
In the stillness of the morning,
Somewhere between the herald's call
And the anxious quiet of the dawn,
There walks a transient creature
Stepping through the grass
Yet not disturbing the dew upon.
From some nowhere it arrived
To shake hands with a faceless clock.
Without a word to the whispering wind,
The memory ventured to the heart.
Shivering and turning in bed,
And no choice in its own dreams,
The aura could only betray.
Thoughts and miles clashed with
Hundreds of stars in faded style.
Hands came reaching and names ran calling.
Out on the water the fog went rising
To the shadowed destination so desperately wanted.
The breathless apparition fled
From the encasing land it had wandered
To grasp the glistening shards of life;
If not to begin anew
Then to at least begin at all.
It was then the steps were taken back
And the apologies came crying forth.
By noon, all the waves were crashing strong.
The memories faded from the fledgling lies
And the new day arose to begin its song.

Another slightly forced piece. Just some musings on going home...I think.
