As an avid Halo fan, I had to take one of the series' most iconic vehicles and convert it into a morph. Here we have Bernard and Annabelle; twin tankmorphs that serve beside the UNSC's Marine Corp. The Covenant have learned the hard way not to mess with a conventional Scorpion MBT; a Scorpion MBT sprouting legs, arms, and sentient thought is so utterly inconceivable that even the fabled Spartans are considered secondary threats when compared to the UNSC's new secret weapons. Sadly, Bernard and Annabelle are practically two of a kind, and even as effective as they are, they simply cannot meet every single one of the Marines' combat needs. With luck, their new posting on Earth will make sure that they at least survive the war...provided the Covenant never finds Earth, that is.
This piece was both a blast and a pain to design. It let me play with another unique vehicle design, and I got to not only design my first male morph, but also to compare male and female tankmorphs for the first time. My vehicle morph genders can be difficult to distinguish from each other, physically; here we see that there is little difference between Bernard and Annabelle's bodies. Bernard's waist is slightly broader, while Annabelle's chest has a small cleft in it to give some semblance of breasts (thus, female morphs happily ignore chest coverings, since they have nothing to cover up). I tend to share Ratbat's views on anthromorphic vehicles; they need to be less humanoid and more mechanical than most artists tend to draw them. The point to making these characters, in my view, is to challenge your own design sensibilities; how far can you push a character design enough to make it truly resemble what you based it on? I'm still finding that sweet spot, I think, but I'm pretty happy with all what I've gotten done so far.
Let me say that these guys were a PAIN to design. I don't think I've put more than eight or nine hours into any of my other vehicle morphs, but designing these two must've taken fifteen hours or more. Redesign after redesign. Ugh.
Also, a nude version if anyone's interested.

I wonder what the Covenant thinks about humanity's "interesting" vehicle designs.
