OVERHEARD: And I Would Spit Your Penis Out For This
Overheard outside Boston Shawarma on Huntington Avenue, tonight around dinnertime.
I exited the same restaurant after these two and was a few paces behind, stuffing my face with deliciousness - so I can concur with the expressed sentiment.

Should I be only slightly disturbed that you have a goat eating Shawarma?
That being said... YAY!

I love good Shawarma, but I am very straight. Ate most excellent Shawarma today even.
One advantage to living in Dearborn, Michigan is good Shawarma every 50 feet or so.

When I lived in Louisville there was a fairly good kebab/shawarma place, but the chef I knew left so on visits back I've avoided it because the quality significantly declined.
That noted: give me your shawarma.

Yeah, if I heard that I would not be able to stop laughing!
Actually, no, I would stop long enough to ask where he got that shawarma.

I would spit out anything that was in my mouth if I heard that and be incapacitated with laughter if I heard anyone say that loud enough for me to hear it. And I would not care one bit if they heard and saw me do it.
yay to see another of these from you, and yay for sea otter dude in the peacoat
Ha ha!! I haven't seen an Overheard in ages!! This made my day!
Oh…so a shawarma's like a gyro? Interesting, it sounds delicious.

Very funny. Thanks for posting this. I don't think I've ever had shwarma. What is it?
There is a place on the "Ave" in Seattle's university district that does that good. heh!
I do love a good shwarma. And I love seeing another one of these comics, too!
Overheard that I would have laugh a lot like a moron on the street. XD
Damn now I'm hungry!
Chris, do you use something like a TOMBOW or Staedtler felt tipped brush pen to do the initial lines for your comics? If so, are you sketching them in pencil first or just diving in to the final lines? Either way it looks cool!

LOL. You are life's audio recorder. (Ever since Avengers I've been wanting to try that)
You know, I spent a while listening for material like this, and I've concluded that in Chicago, people simply save sensitive conversational topics for when they're in private. Midwestern Judgement Instinct.
My baby sister might be going to Emerson this fall, I'll have to ask her if she overhears anything fun, if this is a Boston thing...

If the restaurants are half as good as she tells me, I'll be over there at some point to visit. And the music scene... about half my guitar knowledge was via Mission of Burma.

I am so glad to see some of your work returning here. <3 This series in particular is one of my favorites!

it sounds cool, tho.
BTW, excellent comic, and very nice drawings of all the characters in the comic.
i like how you draw their face expressions, their poses, and the clever use of the speech-bubbles.
i would love to see more comics like this, from the ''overheard'' series; i al;ways liked those comics, and im a big fan of cool, nicely drawn, socialy interesting comics.
i ve been watching those comics for years, and i would love to see more pages like that.

OI! This is one of my favorite art series, and where'd the rest of it go?! You put that back right now!
Seriously though, i *love* this comic and the others like it. There really isn't anything else i've found that has the kind of "realness" in it that these do. Are the old ones stashed anywhere?
