No better way to start the day.
I imagine she's chatting with some stranger about something.
I tried to make the character appear feminine, since I don't paint many females, but it's really hard without hair or drawing really big boobs. Hopefully her hipsterish look doesn't hide the gender too much.

Its just...Absolutely incredible! You have to be one of the best artists I've ever seen. How you include such strong, complicated details with beautiful shading, and warm colora.
I definitely see her as female, it's just small facial details that make it :3
I'm glad! It really doesn't matter, so however the viewer decides to interpret it is right!
I parsed her as male but eh, I like the idea that gender doesn't always have to be obvious in art. And I really like the character!
I suppose s/he can be whatever reflects best for the viewer~
Thank you! I am glad that you like the piece.

I um, am a little not happy with myself because I think that's more the way male characters can be a default, rather than because of any way she's designed. And again, I like the idea that a character can be female without having to really drive home all the stereotypical gender cues!
Truely awesome picture, the choice in colours is just perfect *thumbs up*
It's a beautiful picture, I like it a lot. But I didn't pick up that she was female until I read the description.
I love the texture and the lighting, she certainly has character!
yep a strong black coffee in the morning is the perfect start to the day, although i need at least 2 before i'm fully awake
What a really lovely piece of art. I love all of the little details, even that of the sugar packets.
My favorite scene has always been a coffeeshop You captured the mood really well! It's the most relaxing atmosphere to relax and catch up on some reading or homework or just a casual chat with someone, though I personally prefer rain hitting the windows.
Agreed. I can't say I go often, but I do like the atmosphere of a friendly warm coffee shop.
Beautiful picture! Looks astonishingly like my favorite restaurant - wall, window, the picture in the back... You're not in California, aren't you?
Oh my God, she appeals to me so much. Like, I'd want to be friends with her so bad. We'd be, like, in the same page on terms of style and all. Maybe even like the same music no one's ever heard of before too.
Going to throw much praise your way. You really got the little subtle details down to pass her as female but yet this is drawn in a realistic way leaving yourself asking. Truly top notch. I personally prefer this realistic touch rather then have long hair, long eyelashes and such tell the story it's a she.
Thank you for the high praise! I agree with you, and like more realistic characters.
Great job! definately looks like a step forward compared to the last couple of your uploads :)
Though people who put their wet spoons on napkins always make me irrationally angry for some reason , don't just soak the napkin, jeez

Thank you for the kind words! I'll keep aiming higher with each one.
And hey, there are probably plenty of napkins >__> I'd rather not leave a wet dirty table after I leave...though she's already spilled sugar everywhere so I can't help that.

Well usually you'll get a little plate with you cup, so someone screwed up! :D
Gorgeous painting. Your attention to detail is amazing, and you've truly captured a relaxing atmosphere. A beautiful scene.
Ahhhh, I just want to say that I love this piece ridiculously. I think someone else mentioned it recently but I agree and think it's pretty dang impressive just how much you've improved, it's only been a short period of time since I started watching you but your art has just gotten incredibly good! I absolutely love the softness of this piece and the atmosphere; and of course, I like your restraint in portraying her femininity. Everything is so mellow, and oh my gosh I dig that scarf so much. I really really like this piece, hahah.
On a side note, don't know if you'll see this, but... do you sell prints or originals? Not that-- Not that I want one or anything! I'm just curious!
Just kidding, I'm definitely interested. Tl;dr though, this is absolutely stellar, 10/10 work. Keep it up!

Haha, I'm flattered by all the kind words!
I'm very happy you feel so strongly about this piece!
Unfortunately I haven't considered selling prints before, and have no idea how to go about doing so o.o
Maybe one of these days I'll figure that out!

I do hope you look into prints sometime, if you ever get the chance to! I'm sure I and many other people would be more than happy to buy them. I only just realised you're likely doing these digital, which is why I was asking if you might be considering selling the original, hahah. The brushstrokes look so soft, though!
I'd love to get a commission from you someday, but in the meantime it's always great to see new work from you! Hope you have a nice day.

Wow I really really love this picture. It's so well done and peaceful, I can almost smell the coffee.
I love the vibe I'm getting from this one! Coffee shops, for some reason, always make me feel cool!
Maybe emphasize the eyelashes a bit more? They seem to be an easy trick to distinguish the females. That facial expression belongs to Wilde tho I think ^^
Is it possible to get a bigger version of this? My boyfriend (not a fur [yet]) wants this on our wall in a frame :3
Judging from the scarf and long sleeves, I'm guessing it's cold outside, and a coffee shop is a great place to warm up. I understand what you mean about the gender being subtle. She strikes me as a tomboy, and a very pretty one at that. Great job with the lighting, too. I'd be honored to share a table with this foxy lady...or lady foxy...anytime. :)
This is a lovely picture. Nice to see some art that isn't massively sexualized to convey gender. She's just sitting enjoying coffee.
Wow, saw you on the /r/Furry subreddit today and had never heard of you. When I first saw the pic I thought it was a new Kenket or Hax pic. Then I saw the name TruNorth and wondered if Kenket made a new account team with someone. But nope, you're not connected to her at all, it's all your art. And that's mind blowing! Please take it as one of the best compliments because I honestly think Kenket is one of the best furry artists, and I was convinced this was something by her. You've definitely got a new fan! Keep up the unbelievable work!
Haha, that's so cool!
I'm so very flattered by your words. I had no idea I got spread around on Reddit (I don't have my own account, even).
Thank you so very much for the compliment, I try hard and aspire toward that style of work.

He got sugar all over the place. He's so messy.
Great piece. He looks a lot like my own fursona.

My god, what a beautiful picture of a fox. It's just so cozy and... Slice of life-y. Instant fav.
Looks like the Liquid Sleep coffee shop has a new customer.
"Really big boobs" are not a necessity, although sometimes I appreciate them if they aren't over the top -- meaning, big enough to toss over her shoulder or hurt someone.
