So is it just the hat or is his head shaped all high 'n funny too?
This looks great, I want to see what's over the horizon, even if it's just more sand.

El Topo. Biggest memory of that film is the feeling afterwards that someone had cut my head open, taken my brain out and put it back in, only backwards. Holy shit.
Uggghhhh yes Jodorowski huh....Holy Mountain was even more so though, incredible movie. Felt like taking acid.....
The guy's stuff may have been wacky but it was seriously fucking creative. Major mindfood for folks like us.
oh TOTALLY. Like without him I doubt we'd have so many visually intense movies like The Fall. Really stylish.
I have not! I need to! In fact I've only seen the Dune movie once and that was a long time ago, my whole expose to the 'Dune' franchise has been pretty low.
That said: My brother read Dune recently, and I asked him about Jodorowsky's Dune. He's in film + media, he's not like EXPERIENCED but he's got pretty grounded opinions of what makes a good film. His view is that Jodorowsky wouldn't be the best bet for a Dune movie - while the Dune universe is very weird and strange, the story itself is actually very straightforward. Jodorowsky is if anything too weird, too out there a choice for a good Dune movie!
Anyway I should see it, I'll really try to at some point!

One thing you get from the documentary is that Jodorowsky's version of Dune would have not been Dune. Interesting? oh hell yes, but far, far from Herbert's vision.
(I am exactly this slow in my responses, lately. Sending you big wishes for big happiness!)

I love sharing big happinesses and encouragement. If I ever make it to Britain and in a circumstance where we could hang out, let's get a pint and sketch and gab and I'll give you big happies in person.
Except I suck at shooting anything, don't I need to be good at shooting?
