we don't have little roadsters like that in the US. What few we do have are imported. I worled for Fiat Chrysler America and got to see first Alfa (MX5 rebadge) data start hitting the dealerships. Before I worked for FCA, I worked at European specialty shop. We worked on stuff mostly from the UK and Germany, a few italians. I've got a 71 MGB and a Boxter S and I just love the European concepts of sports cars. I would love to see one of yours up close sometime.
Actually because this is the Coupe version with the glass boot, you can actually fit quite a lot in it. The rear boot can fit 2 sets of golf clubs or one big suitcase, and the under the bonnet you can fit your hand luggage. =)
The regular roadster however has no space, not only is the boot unless, it's directly over the engine so over a long drive it heats up and becomes a baking tray!

I sat in one of these a few times since one of oir customers owns one, though it was just a standard roadster, no brabus... I already think my del sol is quite small already but the roadster was even mkre compact and I felt a bit too squeeezed inside, and I am not really tall x3
I think those were the best cars smart ever offered but apparently they didnt get sold too much... What engine do they have in the brabus model? More than the usual smart engines with three cylinders?

To be honest all I've changed is to an ITG airfilter and the remap, my local smart specialist has 105 maps for regular and 120 for Brabus. Plus in Scotland 98-99 octane fuel is available everywhere, so the engine can run to it's full potential. =)
I wouldn't want any more power out of though, as the car is most fun at really low speeds, over 50mph is just is loud and rather sluggish.

I can imagine, those car's cornering performance isnt the best as I've noticed their suspension and wishbone construction isnt the best for such performances, but hey, it's a Smart, not an AMG tuned SLK x3
My del sol has a fantastic steering even at 120mph and that for its short wheel base, but thats because Honda used double wishbone tecnologies back then a lot, based on F1 cars from these times, plus its a bit broader than the smart coupe...
It was fun driving a smart roadster for once, but to me its a tad too small... plus I'd miss the high revving Honda engines x3
Yours here, for once, looks in very good condition though, and as I said earlier, definetly the best that Smart ever built, but I guess nowadays or even back at its time, people dislike "squeezing" themselves into cars x3
