Awww I remember having a fire skink, they're so chill :3. This one is really healthy looking, he's got great coloration too! :3! I'd name him Blaze, because of fire and all ^^! again, awesome choice for a pet skink =]!

I think I remember a post from you a while back after your fire skink passed away, but I see you have a blue tongued skink now, they were my next choice, I just wasn't sure if I had a large enough tank for one.

yeah it was really sad :[... and it's like I have no idea what could have caused it, I was taking proper care of it and everything :/... well, yeah you wanna make sure you get a nice comfy tank for a blue tongued skink, they grow faaaast! :3! They're a real pleasure to have too, not to mention everyone that sees him perched on my chest or shoulder when I go out, always stares at my little guy x)!

Yeah, same sort of thing happened to my Leopard Gecko a while back.
I think I'd be a little afraid to take this guy out, he'd probably try to scurry away and I'd never see him agin.
Just out of curiosity, what size tank do you have for your Blue Tongue?

My fire skink was really slow most of the time, they really don't move too quickly unless something spooks em :x! But right now I have a three foot x 1 1/2 foot tank for my Vysen, will upgrade him to something bigger later this year :)!

LOLZ! I wanted to adopt a fire skink, but my parents won't let me have another animal.

Their pretty cool animals, not terribly smart though, mine keeps thinking my fingers are crickets and trying to eat them whenever I reach into his tank.

My baby tortoise knows better than that. XD

I actually almost got one but they were like 8 times the price of this guy. One I move out and get my own place I'm totally getting one.

I got mine for free off a rodeside stand. They were giving them away! The little ones were a couple of weeks old. I had Turbo for two years.

For free!? The ones I saw were $400 (Canadian)

Geez! What kind were they? Mine's a sulcata, the only kind that doesn't hibernate.

I'm not sure what kind they were, It was at a big reptile expo and I didn't have time to ask a lot of questions, all I know is they had ones that only grew to about a foot and a half or 2 feet long and others that would need their own room, both the same price.

Oh, they were big and it was an expo. That explains the prices.

Not sure, but in seven years, Turbo should be 30 pounds.
