A verse (and soon, accompanying art) every Wednesday to help you center yourselves on God's Word!
Psalm 119.105 - "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."
Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible. Do you know what it's about? This chapter is 176 verses of the Psalmist singing about, and praising God for, His Word and His laws. If God thought so much to prompt this person to write almost two hundred honest verses about how much he loves the words that come from God's mouth - God's commands, principles, God's teachings and rules - then perhaps we should think twice before we ignore an encouragement to dive into Scriptures.
Here is something amazing: as you pour yourself into the Bible, you'll see that it's not all rules and "thou shalt not"s but is actually a story of God's love to you. And the rules that are in there? They aren't burdensome after a while, especially when our eyes are opened to the fondness and care that God has for His people. You'll find the Bible pouring itself into you.
