Proudly he stands in the darkness of the forest to caress his children - the lichen and moss.
This was the first time I tried to use the brush more often and properly than ever before and I must confess that it killed me.
King of Lichen took me about four days to colour (long breaks included because I easily get lazy about painting with acrylics).
The result of te picture just pushed me a step forwards to dare myself using acrylics because I never found it to be possible for myself. Maybe I should try a painting in acrylics for once.
Since the horn in the forgeround is detailed and heavy with light and tiny dots, I didn't want to make the second horn, which is in the background, too obvious and outstanding. Nevertheless, there is a discrepance between the "not ready yet" and the "less is more" opinion.
Maybe I will find an answer tomorrow.
For now, I will rest my eyes from that glowy green that burnt my eyes. xD
I hope you like it!
The original can be viewed at the Eurofurence ArtShow.
And prints are available too, omigosh! :0
Thanks so much for looking! <3
