“What causes the noble Windragon to cry? To shed even the slightest of tears. What causes a man to cry? Is it the pain in his life crashing down on him? Is it the wounds of battle? Perhaps its an a feeling of sadness of those who have passed or the things that are lost. Or is it a burning frustration with ones self. To be sapped by one’s weakness or powerless state. To be so powerful and have so much depending on you, yet still fall short. Is it a blinding rage for vengeance for the things that haven’t been lost, but rather taken away? A primal call to extinguish the life of those who have done you wrong. Who have done everyone wrong.... What causes the noble Windragon to cry.... “
This picture depicts a battle worn Windmaker. Most likely during the time of the First Legendz War. Windmaker was in my opinion yet another half baked concept in the show. Ignoring how we never find out how he split into two different Windragons in Shiron and Ranshiin, but we never learn about him personally. What kind of person was he before the split. It's heavily implied that he is related to the Tornado Dragonking in what little lore there is, effectively making him the equivalent of a demi god in this story. One task with leading the legendz to stop a seemingly unbeatable foe. In a time where he has already failed to save the Legendz Kingdom. My version of Windmaker is a very stoic and duty bound leader focused only on his primary mission, like in the show. But underneath that, he is a character filled with immense grief, sorrow and self frustration. He was born with all these powers and bestowed his position, yet he still failed. This pushes him to continue the cycle cause to him its the only way to ensure the Jabberwock doesn't destroy another world. Sure the first war technically ended in Legendz victory, but it ultimately cost them everything...
