I was walking to the bus when out of the corner of my eyes I saw a wriggling little black thing. Automatic reflexes kicked in as I looked and quickly grabbed at it upon realization that it was a baby snake! <3
I'm never really afraid to pick up snakes around here, since we don't have any poisonous snakes.
Mostly just Garter snakes.
What a cute little baby! He was so close to the busy road, I'm glad I was able to move him to a safe grassy area.
I wish I had my camera when I came across a baby albino garter, but that was like a year before I had this camera ):
