This is some long overdue fanart of one of my favourite webcomics, "Beyond the Western Deep", which I highly recommend if you like anthro characters in medieval settings. It really reminds me of the Redwall novels by late Brian Jacques, but with much more compelling characters and without entire species being portrayed as evil.
The character in the drawing is Asha, an Ermehn girl who lives in the Vulpin city of Nessa, and belongs to a gang of thieves and scoundrels called "The Sand Spiders". The Ermehn are kinda the underdogs of this setting, and I just love them :D
Oh, and this also was a great excuse to make some experiments with red light instead of the usual yellow. Hope you like it!

Mmmmmmmh yeeeeees, my magnificent 0laffson architecture fix.
I really loved Brian's work as a kid, and I miss him so. That was one thing that kinda nagged at me, how entire species were usually EVIL, and others good, but still, I have very fond memories of his work.
Love this piece man.

Haha thank you mate! ^^
Yeah, I absolutely hated that! Even in that story where a ferret (?) was raised in the abbey...and he STILL turns out evil, I hated that so much. Beyond the Western Deeps is everything I wanted Redwall to be as a child!

I know, I mean, he redeemed himself in the end, but it's like they were almost all bent toward evil.
The crippled fox Groddil was okay, and there were a few small exceptions, but for the most part, it's like Brian wrote it into there nature to be cruel or vile.

Hey, you read that too, cool! I read the whole thing from beginning to end in like three days when i discovered about it.
Great work by the way, the lighting in particular is very nice.

I read it and love it! :D I will never be grateful enough to the friend who suggested it to me!
I myself found it by pure accident (a happy accident to be more exact) and it quickly became one of my favorite webcomics, and this is coming from someone who read a bunch of webcomics.
Yeah, Shadi agai... stop! It is not her! No-o-o!
The city looks like Sirath, really. What can I say? The kittie is nice, the city is wonderfully drawn and the colours are unbelieveable!

Nope, not Shadi! ^^ and even if she doesn't look like one she's actually a mustelid.
Mamma mia che disegni che fai! XD Io spero sempre di beccare news da parte tua per quanto riguarda potenziali commissions o,o
Haha grazie mille, davvero! ^^ Sarei tentato di provare, ma sono sempre impegnao e disegnare è una delle poche cose che mi rilassano (e le commissions sono super-stressanti). Forse quest'estate proverò ad aprire degli slots, se ho tempo!
I love your environments; this is a cool cityscape, and the sunset light is great.
