Thank you! I wanted him to feel 'above' the viewer somewhat, and I lucked out with the fire effect.
Kobold!!
Haven't really seen you do much scalie things, am really liking his texture work

I really like drawing fur, but I love scales too. I used to, years ago, do more dragons than anything. I should get back into it!
Thank you so much! I surprised myself a little with it, honestly. I'm pleased though! Makes me wanna do more action oriented fantasy pieces
Please do! I really dig this subject matter coming from you... not that I don't like your other stuff either though, heh
Will do! I honestly wouldn't mind eventually taking on some professional fantasy work. So I should build up a fantasy portfolio.
Chiming in with the others to say I totally dig this too, really awesome work! The scales are shiny and all the contrasting light from that fireball... Aaaah, totally cool. XD
Great pic, and a great subject from your commissioner!

Thank you so so much, you're really encouraging me to keep at this type of work! I really really appreciate it.
I'd love to see a version where the star field and moon are wiped out by the light source closer to the eye since you did such a nice job on the near field shading.
I nearly left out the stars, but it felt bare and plain without them. They were the finishing touch. Composition won out over reality.
