I could never stand it when films or video games used the 'fring/shing' sound effect when a blade is drawn, it would just render bladed weapons pointless in stealth scenarios. Thank goodness such isn't the case in reality.
Meanwhile, suppressors on firearms suffer from the opposite in fiction (being shown as silent, when the real thing is louder than if the suppressor wasn't attached.)

*chuckles... I found one that was close on google image and then used MS paint to add the ears. I lover that little program. I've been working on an image of the HMS Lacis in spare moments at work since I could not find a drawing of an L class. It's a bit like 'paint by the numbers' but it is very calming.

I have always been a stickler having things right in the movies I watch... remember 'Man From Uncle'? They had just gotten control of the little business jet and told the tower they were almost out of fuel - flash to the fuel indicator and it looks like it was pulled from a Model T Ford F dash dash E, and the needle is on E.
