This is Ignatius the fox alchemist, a character I've been playing in my dnd campaign. His home near the Krysk swamps was destroyed by a bandit group but he was 'rescued' by his Gnoll neighbours,

and brought to the city of Wyverndale for his own protection.
Being a alchemist, Ignatius works on making healing potions, various types of bombs, and generally studies anything he can get his paws on. Here is a quick explanation of Ignatius's chemical augmentation process.
1. Step one, gulg down a potion! Done only when he has exhausted his alchemical bomb supply or a situation seems especially desperate.
2. Step two, Fear the Fox! Iggy temporary becomes a physical powerhouse with massive strength and regenerative properties.
3. Step 3, Hurl! Ignatius has not yet perfected the mixture and thus cannot sustain his bulked up form for very long. The transformation ends when Iggy pukes up the chemical augmentation.

Oof, not the most pleasant way to end duration on a mutagen/augmentation like that.
Still, the only way to refine the formula is to experiment each time.
And it still serves as a useful tool for when the going gets rough ^_^

Mutagen, yes that is the word that I was looking for! So much easier to type than 'alchemical augmentation'. A thanks to you as I will remember this for future sessions. : )

Glad I could help, even if I didn't realize I was doing so XD
Mostly, the word's embedded in my brain because of Pathfinder's Alchemist class having mutagens as a class feature.
