I'm ending this month with a little special thing.
About a week ago I watched the newest animated Batman film "Batman VS The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", and I can tell you that there were two things that stuck with me more than anything else.
Seeing next to all of Batman's famous villains turn into some kind of Anthropromofic animal, due to the Mutagen Ooze that the Joker used on them. (Basically giving us everyone's Fursona. )
And second was seeing amongst them all Mr. Freeze as a POLAR BEAR!!!
Not only was it the most hilarious fitting animal for him to become, but he managed to look both so badass and super cuddly as he did so!
(I'm not going to lie, I seriously feel like I have fallen in love with this Bear. )
The only thing I really disliked about that whole series of scenes was that Mr. Freeze Polar Bear ended up getting such a cruel and undeserving end to his part in the film, that it left such a big painful hole in my heart the first time I saw it! ;-(
Feeling a big guy like him deserved so much more I decided to start working on an unofficial follow-up story that takes place after the first film, with this first chapter working almost as an epilogue/end credit scene to the film. (And for those wondering No, what we actually got as an end credit scene in the film will not be included here. I would like for this one to try and be 100% Batman related, and only have the TMNT stuff being used as callbacks between characters.)
So I hope that (eventually) I will have this whole thing finished, and until then I hope that you all will be finding it as fun reading it as I found writing it so far.
Also, the new name for Freeze that I am giving his Polar Bear form is something that came from a post made by the user Monkey-Scientist, and a link to that post can be found on Deviantart here: https://www.deviantart.com/monkey-s.....eeze-802765881
Batman as a character belongs to DC.
Animated Batman stuff belongs to Warner Bros.
During what was one of the rare sunny days in Gotham Damien Wayne and Barbara Gordon (Also known as Robin and Batgirl) decided to spend the day together as a way to try and relax after their latest battle to save the city.
Along with Batman the trio had been facing off all kinds of weird foes, but nothing could possibly top this one where they ended up teaming up with a group of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Getting to know that New York had both talking reptiles and clans of Ninjas to deal with was complete news to them all, and yet this was only the start of how bizarre everything would get.
Not only was the Turtles looking after their arch nemesis "The Shredder" in Gotham, but he had also been said to have brought a ton of the same mutagen that had transformed them from regular pet Turtles to these crime-fighting Ninjas. (Or as they called that stuff, "The Ooze")
Before even being able to imagine what could happen next an alarm was heard of Arkham Asylum being run over by the inmates, and they knew they all had to get there quickly before anyone of the super dangerous criminals would escape.
That's when the biggest shock of them all happen as upon arriving the group of heroes found out that the always insane Joker and Harley Quinn had been using some of the mutant Ooze on not only themselves but all of the other major villains, basically turning them all into mutated anthropomorphic animal versions of themselves!
What had happen next had been one of their most insane fights ever, and given the whole "Walking Talking Anthro Animal Foes" thing Barbara couldn't help but find a great level of irony over which place Damien had decided to take the two of them.
"The Gotham Zoo? Really?" Barbara asked a bit skeptical to Damien, who swore that he hadn't planned it that way.
"I just thought to myself "What kind of place have I not been visiting for a while?", and it just so happen to be the Zoo." Damien explained as Barbara still felt it was just a bit "Weird" to go see feral versions of animals that they themselves had been fighting just a few days ago.
"At least here we won't have to worry about fighting any of the beasts." Damien pointed out, which Barbara had to admit would make it a lot less tense of a visit.
As they started to wander around the memories of the battles at Arkham never really left their minds, but instead of getting all brute about it they were able to find the great level of comedy laying over just how insane of thing that had actually been.
Pretty soon the two of them started to purposely find different animals at the zoo that resembled the ones they had been fighting off at Arkham, and each had some little anecdotes to share.
Everything from how Two-Face's transformation made him look like one of those freaky "Two Headed Cat" images seen online, to how neither of them would have guessed the Joker himself would turn into a Cobra. (If anything they thought he too would become a Hyena along with Harley Quinn.)
"Wait, so you are telling me that when you, Raphael, and Michelangelo came to face off against Poison Ivy, you three were able to just walk past her without fighting?" Barbara asked in disbelief as Damien confirmed, "Yup! Turns out becoming an actual plant really limited how much she could move inside that room. So we basically got a "Free Pass" during that fight."
Feeling a bit a jealousness now over how easy he got it during his run Barbara pointed out that both she and Donatello ended up taking some pretty hard blows from their battle with Bane, "Until he tried to do his "Back Breaking" move against Donatello, and ended up instead breaking his knee against his hard shell."
"It's not like my route was a complete cake-walk either. I and my guys had to face off against Mr. Freeze, who I can tell you were probably even stronger than Bane." Damien said to Barbara until realizing something.
"We haven't been looking out the "Arctic Section" yet. We need to do that!" Damien told Barbara, as the two then quickly headed towards the cold point of the Zoo.
As they entered into the much more isolated section the two young heroes walked past the Penguin enclosure, and couldn't help but think about a "What if" scenario.
"It is a bit of a shame that Cobblepot actually managed to escape the Asylum a few weeks earlier, cause can you imagine what he would have looked like as an actual Penguin?" Damien asked Barbara, who in return said back "If I am being honest, I don't think he would have looked all too different to what he already did." as they shared a bit of a good laugh together until they arrived at the place where Damien wanted them to go.
The Polar Bear exhibit.
Inside of that place they could see 7 big Polar Bears just playing around with each other, eating fish, or just being lazy, as the two of them started to talk about how a certain one had caused them major troubles back at Arkham
"So you were claiming that Mr. Freeze was actually a stronger foe to fight then Bane?" Barbara asked very skeptically as Damien assured her this was the case.
"Trust me. During our first encounter I laid onto him 3 Heat-Bombs that usually would be enough to put his whole suit out of order, but when applying them directly to his bare fur he barley was down for 5 seconds before up and chasing us once again!" Damien told Barbara, who did have to admit it made Freeze sound like he had become a whole lot stronger when becoming a Polar Bear.
"That's also something that shocked me a bit when I saw him. Bare Fur." Barbara added. "Normally someone like Mr. Freeze would have been completely connected to his special suit, or else risk dying of heat waves from normal temperatures. But as a Polar Bear he seemed to have no issues whatsoever walking around in places that weren't in sub-zero temperatures."
"That's not all that was strange about that incident." Barbara added. "In the reports that my father made apparently after recovering the rest of the Mutant villains and giving them the antidote, a search was made to recover Mr. Freeze's presuming dead body. But all they found was a few puddles of blood and pieces of white fur at the place where Bruce and he ended up after their little battle." Barbara explained, as this just sounded very odd to Damien.
"So you are telling me that somehow a giant Polar Bear just up and vanished?" Damien asked in disbelief before then suggesting, "Maybe he ended up becoming a meal to Killer Croc? They did seem to end up all the way down to the sewer levels underneath the Asylum."
"Given the nature of how Killer Croc consumes his meals I'm sure it would have left a much more messy scene for the cops to find." Barbara counter-argued, as Damien then asked: "So does that mean that Mr. Freeze could have somehow survived?!"
"That is very unlikely since what the Turtles told us about the mutagen all changes would be permanent if the user wasn't to receive an antidote within 12 hours after becoming transformed, and if that was the case then I'm sure someone should have spotted an anthropomorphic Polar Bear with a freeze-gun on his back wandering around in Gotham City." Barbara told Damien as she then added, "Besides, just where would someone like him even be able to hide?"
The answer to Barbara's question happens to be "Right in plain sight", as while the other Polar Bears was aimlessly wandering around in their close up space with huge walls surrounding them, one Polar Bear had been doing nothing but sitting still and staring directly at the two.
Since Barbara and Damien happen to be the only ones watching the Polar Bears at the moment they had their whole conversation at a fairly loud audio level, which had been picked up by that one Polar Bear as he was listening to them very intensely.
While he looked like any other Polar Bear at first glance, the focused look and expression of understanding every single word being said by the two youngsters talking to each other clearly meant that this was in fact someone they thought was gone and dead by now.
Mr. Freeze!!!
He wouldn't blame them for thinking he had passed away, since even he himself was pretty amazed that he managed to survive his ordeal with the Bat.
Thinking back to it he recalled first when the Joker told him and the rest that he had fixed something that would "Improve them all", and then feeling this great pain as his whole body was being changed at once!
Before he knew it he was on all four, and saw how his whole body was a lot more fuzzy looking!
While at first being horrified by what the crazy clown had done to him Freeze then realized that his suit had become completely ruined by the transformation, and yet he wasn't being affected by standing around in normal temperatures! (He did feel slightly sweaty due to his thick furcoat, but compared to how it used to be with his disease this felt like a breeze.)
"Could it be?..." Freeze asked himself as he looked at his own reflection. "Has turning me into this...cured me?!"
It seemed too insane to believe, but having his already mutated body changed even further like this seemed to have enhanced it in every way!
He felt a lot stronger now, and maybe he even had just got what he had been looking for all this time?
"If I can get a DNA sample of myself once I'm out of here, maybe I will be able to also cure Nora?" Victor Freeze thought to himself, as the whole reason why he had turned villain in the first place was so that he could continue to research and work on finding a cure to his dying wife. (Who was now being keep contained and frozen to sleep in order to prevent the sickness from spreading as he looked for her cure.)
If this truly was the missing key to his life goal then it greatly motivated him into going along with what the Joker would ask for him (And the rest of the villains) to do next.
All he would need to do was to take care of the Batman and the rest of his company once they arrive at Arkham, and after that he would finally be able to cure his cryogenically frozen wife!
Carrying his signature Freeze gun with cryo filled tanks strapped onto him like a backpack he seemed like an almost unbeatable opponent with his new size and strength.
And it all went very well up to when he managed to capture Batman inside of a massive ice block inside of the Operation Theatre of the Asylum, but that's when the Joker took and tricked him!
Deciding to make things even more interesting the mad clown took and injected the trapped Batman with a mixture of both the mutant serum AND his very own Joker venom, leading to the Caped Crusader to become a literally crazy monster!
After seeing his greatest foe being turned into a literal Bat creature and violently tossing the mutated Two-Face through a window Mr. Freeze knew that this creature was way too dangerous, and tried to take care of him with his weapon.
But much to his horror the Polar Bear scientist witnessed how his freeze blasts had no effect onto the beast, as all he had done was making himself it's next target!
"I-Impossible!" Was all that Freeze was able to utter in shock before he felt the claws of the Bat force itself around his back, and how the both of them got slammed through multiple floors!
Trying to struggle best as he could Mr. Freeze had never felt more genuinely scared for his life as he did when he had the Batman monster trying it's hardest to kill him!
When he wasn't getting his back breaking through whole floors he could feel the sharp teethes of the Bat monster trying to get to him! (Forcing him to use his own arms to protect himself, as he got several bad bites into them!)
Despite his scream of pain and pleads of being let go there was no reasoning with the hero of Gotham while he was like this, as this was just a battle of nature to see who would survive it all.
Once hitting the final floor Polar Bear Freeze felt how he was being completely pinned down by the Batman creature, as the Bat monster was aiming for ending it all now!
Opening up its deadly jaws the Batman was aiming for striking straight into the neck of Mr. Freeze, and the Polar Bear knew he had to do something or else he would be gone for.
Having still a firm hold of his freeze ray in one of his hands Freeze quickly tried to put that thing in-between himself and the Bat, as the beast launched itself towards him and sunk its teeth in deeply within his fur!
Luckily for Freeze using the gun was the best thing he could do as it was the first thing that the Bat creature had to bite into before reaching to his neck, and upon breaking it apart it unleashed all of its thermostatic energies at once!
The cold blast was enough to make the Bat creature let go off Mr. Freeze and return back up to the others, as the Polar Bear finally got some space to just take deep breaths!
Upon examining himself he did feel how he had got some pretty deep cuts around his throat that were dripping blood (Leaving those puddles to be found by the cops later), but luckily it wasn't bad enough to be really life-threatening to him or anything.
Across his midsection he also spotted a series of nasty scars from the Bat having tried to claw itself deep into his internal organs, making him very thankful now that upon transforming into this ursine form he had ended up getting a bit "Pudgy" around his belly area, helping it work as useful padding to make sure the claws from the creature never really went too deep.
Examining the gun however Freeze could see that while the thing really did save his life, it had come at the cost of it now being so badly damaged that he would need to get it seriously repaired before even being able to use it again.
"Can't do anything about this one until I get myself back to my lab." Mr. Freeze thought to himself as he instead focused on quickly finding a way out before that crazy Bat monster would show up again.
When finding himself an exit Freeze knew that with all the tension going on with the Shredder and Turtles roaming around it would be smarter for him to stay low, until it was all over.
So taking off his weapon and goggles and hiding them in an abandoned alley Mr. Freeze focused on finding a place where he would be able to hide within ease, and that's when he settled onto the city's zoo.
After climbing a few fences and dropping himself into the Polar Bear enclosure this was where Freeze had been keeping a low profile, waiting for when things would be much more cooler so that he could make his move.
And that's where he now by pure chance had been able to figure out the true identity to two of the masked menaces that had caused him all this trouble!
"Barbara and Damien, huh. I will make sure to remember those names." Freeze was thinking to himself as he tried to still act like a feral Polar Bear, just to make sure none of the two Humans would know he was listening to them.
"Just to think I was this close even to return to my Nora with a cure, and now I have to pretend that I am just some caged up beast for their amusement!" Freeze thought as he found himself starting to growl a bit over how humiliating of a situation he had to act in, given how he once was such a gifted and respected scientist.
"Still it's better if I keep staying low just a little bit longer. Letting them think that I really am dead before I make my move." Freeze thought to himself as in one way he did actually die that day.
The man who was in need of a special suit to keep himself alive had died that day, and become reborn into something that was a new step in its very own bizarre way of evolution.
"When we meet next time I think you can instead call me...Polar Freeze!" The evil Polar Bear thought as he was about to start planning his new move, when a very love-struck female Polar Bear tried to nudge at him for some company.
Having no interest at all in wanting to become "social" with any of his furry friends Freeze just took and shoved the other Polar Bear away from him without even giving her a look as he did so.
"And most of all I can't wait until I can get myself out of here, so I won't have to share the company of these low intelligent creatures anymore!" Polar Freeze kept thinking to himself, as he almost started to miss being at Arkham again.

No, since it is mentioned him along with the rest got the antidote to turn them back to normal.
Freeze is the only one who ended up getting stuck in this beast form.

I know that in the comic they mentioned how the inmates got reversed into normal, and I think they had one line in the film briefly saying that Commissioner Gordon received from Batman more produced anti-dotes to revert the prisoners.
I'm sorry if I wrong here, but in my story this is how it has happened.
Freeze is the only one still an animal Anthro, and because of the time that has passed he can't be cured with any anti-dote.
Hope that clears everything up.

I understand that.
The thing is, in the movie we never learn of any of them were cured at all. Also, we never learn if Two-Face survived his fall.
I am not saying you cannot do it this way, I am just expressing that I bet Freeze probably would feel a little more at ease knowing he is not the only still changed in Gotham now. Bane and Scarecrow I feel deserved to stay changed too, as a crow fits Scarecrow (obviously! LOL!!!) and I feel a jaguar suits Bane as he is now a cat to the bat (like Catwoman).
In the comics, Bane stays mutated (only he is an elephant instead) and becomes a central antagonist in the sequel. I don't know what happens to Scarecrow, or if he even HAD a role in the comics (he may not have even been in them)...either way, like Freeze, I just think Scarecrow and Bane are two intelligent to be caught by the police (even in their new forms).
Who knows? If they did escape, maybe they could become obstacles for Freeze in his new goals?
I do thank you for clearing it up, but I still wanted to express a thought. If that's okay with you, that is...

That is completely fine of you to do.
I just mistook it that you were trying to give me ideas on what to do next, when I already had my plans for the story settled.
Sorry if that caused confusion.

I am sorry if the way I wrote what I wrote gave you the wrong impression too...
Then you're forgiven.
Hope you will enjoy the upcoming parts when I've got them ready!

I just watched this animated movie. Loved it for the most part. Was nice to see a return to the turtles that didn't grate on my nerves.
And yeah, Mr Freeze bear was the main reason I watched it. I'm pathetic

You are not pathetic.
That just means you watched it for the exact same reason I did it!
Seeing all of those villains turned into their Furry form truly felt like a wet dream to me.
(But I also completely love seeing Hyena Harley and Snake Joker. )

I wondered if she was a Hyena or maybe just a fox or what. But I heard talking polar bear, it was all I wanted to see.
Aw, come on, Freeze! I know you're vowing to get Nora back, but why would you turn down a good snuggle with a fellow polar bear? It can help you get adjusted.
It's cause he's a trustworthy husband, who loves his Nora so much he would never even dream about the thought of cheating her!
(Not even with a random Polar Bear at a Zoo. )

I didn't expect the story to have so much Damien and Barbara. I figured that you would focus more on the fatter Freeze that you like so much :P
I liked how Mr. Freeze seems to have a fan ^^
Speaking of female polar bears, if the mutation can in fact cure Nora, it would be so interesting to have her as a fellow bear for Freeze :P

I thought it would work as a nice way to get things started, and quickly recap events for those who had forgot what had happend in the film.
Glad you liked that little funny scene at the end, showing that Freeze might be a real hit with the female Polar Bears at the Zoo.
And we will see what happens with Nora, but that is always one way it could happen.

All that I’m wondering now is how Nora will react to being turned into a polar bear
Also, looks like Barbara is going to see for her self who’s the tougher for, Bane or Freeze.
Just realized as well, if Freeze knows Robin and Batgirl’s identities, then can he deduce by their conversation that Batman is Bruce Wayne?

DANG IT!!!
It would've been so COOL(Pun Intended) to see Cobblepot as an Anthropomorphic Mutant Penguin!!

It happen in the comic it was based on, but not in the film version strangely.
