May's Patreon Poll ended with a four-way tie, with Amy Rose, Rouge the Bat, Tikal the Echidna and Blaze the Cat receiving five votes each. As a result, they were all plunged into the murky and mucky depths located in the Oil Ocean Zone. This current batch of oil being dumped is especially thick and viscous this time around, to the point that not even Sonic could traverse its sticky surface, much less so his female companions whom are quite trapped and sinking fast, though some are more intrigued than frightened by their predicament.

Silver's concept look was named Venice the Mink, who had hints of gold on his gloves; Sega changed the look to a hedgehog with hair that similar to that of a marijuana leaf and the name was changed to Silver.
