To tell you the truth I thought Collette and I were the only big mothers in town. How naive was I think so, after meeting the energetic mother at the cafe. She was Collie with a peculiar husky tail, probably a mixed breed by the looks of it. The face she gave me after seeing me was priceless, she was shocked to meet someone with my condition, well, our condition that is.
It would be lying if I wasn't surprised as her! Who wouldn’t be shocked to see a massive belly in front of your face while you were browsing delicious food? Shellie, the mixed breed, was massive. I mean, way bigger than me, but not as big as Collete mind you! But she sure got my attention that she was a week overdue and she’s complaining about it. Hah, that’s nothing compared to my 45 weeks long pregnancy, and I feel almost as massive because of it!
She then brags about how she learned that our pregnancy isn’t natural, as we were infected with some kind of ‘Mega babies’ anomaly. I could go with just “the anomaly” for short sakes, but this explains EVERYTHING. Still… being lucky with only having 7 pups was a relief. Can’t say the same with Shellie’s 12 pup filled tummie, and Collette’s… goodness… 32? I could have sworn it was less, but I might have been imagining things.
Anyways, what was I going with this? Ah yes, after a long chat with Shellie between orders and all that, I asked if we can hang out and know each other more, especially helping each other during the long haul of our unexpected long pregnancy. And would you know it how excited she was to agree! And by the looks of it she really really need some help. Especially the clothing, oh the many clothing! Don’t we all need that at this point too, I feel like my shirt is going to pop open after a big meal.
A few days later we went shopping. The biggest priority for us was to buy maternity clothes, and lo and behold there was a brand new store specially made for us. There seems to be more of these store as of late now that I think of it, with brands I never heard from other countries. The store we’re entering is heavily sponsored by "American Crissy comfort”. It’s either a good brand or they have bigger pockets if it’s going to be splattered in the majority of the store. We won’t know until we try!
Gosh, that was a tiring walk, but we made it inside! Thank goodness the door frames were wide enough for us, and it’s big on the inside too. Never seen so many special design clothing, or even size tags of these calibers. I have seen shirts and tops that will surely fit Collete, but there are even bigger sizes than her? I wasn’t aware if there will be ladies bigger than my boss…
Shellie, on the other hand, was ecstatic to get something that fits her at all! So many choices that look pretty and practical, I don’t know where to start! As soon as we regain our energy, we waddled across the store to find something of our size or more for future-proofing, but the store personnel assures us these personalized clothing will stretch a bit more than other standard clothing. If it’s true, it’s a godsend for us hypers! It was a pain for the typical clothing store to try to tailor special clothing for us that sometimes won't fit after a day or so! Plus, they aren’t getting cheaper the longer we grow in size…
Wandering around for clothing took longer than expected, of course, but we found some that might look cute. We took turns so I let Shellie try out a nice outfit, and after a few minutes, with some help of course, she got out of the changing room, awfully tired just barely moving a few feets.
“Unff…. huff, how do I look?” Shellie asked barely looking at me. Poor gal trying to show off.
I have to admit, she looks bloody cute with that turquoise top. When I was about to comment, I feel a strong kick from one of the pups, right in my sensitive belly button. Really, guys? Now my cheeks turn red from the kick AND from her cute outfit. Making things extra hard on me to concentrate.
“I-it looks good on y-you!” I said, still burning red “How does it feel?”
“It actually feels comfy~” Shellie responded, panting a bit but eventually regain her breathing ”Though the size is a bit small. Maybe they have something bigger than this, Pippi?”
I could only smirk as I was ready to answer “If anything, they have any size that we need!”
