Hey. You're bgs are freaking beautiful. How the hell do you get the leaves to look so good? Is it a brush, or do you do it by hand?
Ooo this turned out pretty. The greenery, the detail in the stream, the serene feeling, I love it.
Wow. This is genuinely breathtaking. You must be super proud of this one because every corner of this picture is absolutely phenomenal. You created a gorgest forest with impeccable detail, heck, the water alone looks refreshing and inviting.
And I simply cannot get over how good you made my Fox look with your style. I love the shape of his face and his hair, even his ears are super adorable. And his expression is perfect, it really makes one feel like they want to be there to experience the tranquility.
Seriously, thank you.

Thank you so much for the wonderful compliments, and I'm really happy to hear that you liked the outcome! It was definitely one of those labor of love pieces!
Oh damn you're improving a lot with these backgrounds! Did you use a hard round brush for this one?
Thank you! I typically only use the marker brush and the pencil brush in sai for everything, but yes just plain round brushes!
aaa this is so so inspiring -- the way you do backgrounds has become much more refined and streamlined with your style over the years and it makes me wanna hand draw backgrounds as well! having complete control versus me just photobashing and painting over stuff would be nice @_@
I'm happy to hear it's inspiring!! There are definitely still little short cuts and tricks you can learn to make everything a little less painstaking, a lot of my pieces involve copying base textures I've painted and rendering on top of those, such as the tree texture here being used as a base in several places like the rocks to help give some richness/complexity to the textures without having to go that hard on rendering every single object/area from scratch. Speedpaints come in handy with learning techniques like that!
Amazingly done! So much about this peaceful scene I absolutely love! Can only imagine how nice it must feel to just relax and listen to the sounds of the gentle flowing brook on a nice day out in the forest
This is amazing, love it. This reminds me of walks in the countryside, such good vibes. The water is also fantastically done, as is the characters pose and expression.
That's so serene it's hard to put into words. One of my favorite images in a long time. Just magical work there Akita!
I loooove your scene pieces so much. There is always so much to look at, and it feels peaceful, in a way
I keep coming back to this, wanting to tell you so much, but then each time I am simply speechless. All the detail is just simply stunning, and its as if I can just step into that scene straight from my laptop, as if it's just a window. The water alone is just jaw-dropping.
Thank you for your gorgeous art!

This captures the feelings of relaxation perfectly, which I have always felt in nature.
Wow, this is so beautiful and nostalgic! I have so fond memories of hours in woods and streams, this actually touched me quite a bit
When I saw this I actually said out loud, "Oh, that's beautiful."
I don't have words to describe how I feel about this piece, there's so much to address. Everything, the rocks, the water, tree, the way the foreground fades into the background.
This is ACTUAL art goals. Wow. I can't believe I've never seen your work before.
You did such a wonderful job.
