Part 6 of 6
Wave upon wave of silver fish slid from the rusted tube, slipping into that cavern of a belly and gently filling it with a fattening mixture of eager sushi and salt water. Nelson waved his pectoral fins helplessly, finding it hard to even move them about as they were encompassed by his ever-expanding midriff.
“Mmmmph!” the shark groaned, his thickening tail waving about.
Callum only answered with a laugh, bouncing on his girth against his captive’s broadening back. “Don’t like that, huh?” he teased, leaning forward to give the shark’s ballooning girth a little poke. It felt like a balloon, taut and rubbery to the touch from the extra mass. “Be rather hard to lure more victims into the ship when you’re too wide to squeeze through the door ways.”
Nelson let out another soft moan, the torrent of fish relentless against his stuck maw. He’d actually begun to grow spherical where he’d originally been a thick, torpedo shape. The shark panted frantically, worried about how long the obese dragon would force him to stay hooked to the pipe. He was already almost stuffed to the gills, more than he’d ever been before and he wasn’t sure how much more he could take. Surely the dragon wouldn’t make him pop. He was far too friendly a shark for someone to do that to him, but the flood of fish swarming down his gullet made it hard to be sure. He shut his eyes as a fresh wave of fish bloated his belly out even wider, entrenching his fins in capsules of blubber and sending an ominous creak through the submerged room.
Callum seemed to hear the shark’s thoughts, or at least understood what that creak meant. That stuffed-to-near-bursting sound of one’s belly being stretched to its maximal capacity. With a grunt, he bounced off the shark’s back and paddled slowly down to come face to face with Nelson. “Now I expect that if I free you, you won’t eat me,” he told the fattening fish.
The shark just stared back at him with wide, yellow eyes. ‘I couldn’t even eat a goldfish at this point!’ He thought desperately, but nodded up and down vigorously.
“Good,” the bulging derg said, before reaching over and grabbing the corners of the shark’s mouth. “Now on three we pull, alright?”
Nelson nodded frantically.
“Alright, one… two… three… pull!” Callum jerked upward with his bloated arms while Nelson yanked back with all his strength.
He barely budged.
Another whimper dribbled out of the shark’s aching maw as more and more fish went in, his tail swishing about uselessly now as all the extra room around it was stuffed with fish and shark blubber.
“Again!” Callum commanded, counting to three once more and yanking harder as the shark jerked his globular body upward.
Nelson’s maw scraped up the metal pipe by barely an inch, but it was enough for them to hope.
More fish slithered in as the shark groaned, his belly creaking again as Callum readjusted his grip.
“One more time, bud. Almost there,” the fat dragon said. “C’mon now, you blimp of a whale shark! One. Two. Three. PULL!” They yanked upward simultaneously, Callum putting his weight behind it and Nelson tugging and loosening his jaw as best he could.
THWUUNNNNNNG! The shark’s maw slid off the pipe with a reverberating metal twang that echoed through the underwater chamber. A couple of silver fish darted out and disappeared into the gloom before Callum slammed the lid down on the pipe.
“Whew! That was close! You almost blew u-OOF!” The dragon grunted as the shark suddenly plowed into his belly with his blunted nose, pinning him against the far wall. “Hey! What gives?!” the swollen derg yelped, wriggling but finding his soft figure thoroughly pinned by the massive shark.
“You almost made me pop!” Nelson growled, his sharp teeth rubbing the tender bulges of dragon belly peeking through his plates. “That wasn’t very nice!”
“Well neither was trying to eat me!” Callum huffed, putting one paw on the shark’s nose and trying to push him off. “Way I see it, you got what you deserved and I spared you out of kindness.”
Nelson’s eyes narrowed, matching the soft dragon’s glare for a moment before he began to giggle. “Hmm, I suppose that’s true. No one’s ever talked to me the way you do, land whale. Or eaten the way you do for that matter.” He backed up a couple inches to let the dragon slide off the wall, before pressing his snout back into that sagging gut to nuzzle it. “Such a fine meal you’d make.”
“Well no one’s making a meal of this dragon,” Callum said, before grinning himself and gently rubbing the shark’s rounded nose again. “Besides, I doubt you could stomach me at this point.”
Nelson nodded, looking back at his overstuffed belly and wincing as a bolt of tightness lanced its surface. “I rarely ever get this big. It hurts a little…”
The way the shark said it almost made Callum feel sorry for the big fish. So large and round and stuffed the way he was, Nelson reminded him a bit of a parade balloon rather than a predatory fish. “Here, roll over you big buoy.”
“What?”
“You heard me, roll over.” Callum made a circular motion with one paw.
Nelson hesitated, but did what the dragon instructed, rotating his body so his great white belly pointed up toward the surface. “What are you going to do to m-ooooh, that feels nice…” If sharks could purr, Nelson managed the closest thing to it as Callum pressed his gut and paws against the shark’s stomach and began to rub it as best he could.
His size made it tough, but being relatively weightless meant he could at least move it around. He swam along the curvature of the shark’s grand gut, dragging his own sagging bulk against it to ease the tightness from that rubbery sphere. Nelson let out a watery growl of sorts, his eyes closed and his fins drifting helplessly as the dragon slowly swam about, leaching the strain from his middle. Little by little, the shark’s figure softened. The roundness still remained, but it became much more pliable, soft to the touch and so very warm.
After half an hour, Callum had de-stressed his aquatic companion as best he could and swam over to gently boop the shark’s nose.
It took a moment for the stranded shark to break his sleepy euphoria, but eventually he blinked and shook his head, looking up at the dragon with a dopey grin. “Thanks for that,” he said, pressing his nose into the dragon’s sagging gut again. “Can’t believe I wanted to eat you before.”
“Me too,” Callum snorted, bubbled trickling from his nostrils as he rubbed the sharks upper belly.
They made quite the well-padded pair. Nelson’s gut had rendered him nearly immobile, even in the water. His fins were only half visible amid the crevices of lard around them and his midriff bulged grandly into the air like some great pearl. As the shark tipped over, his figure wobbled softly, hinting at the flab that had built up in place of the feast of fish he’d enjoyed against his will.
For Callum’s part, he’d widened to several times his original size, with a gut that sagged past his floating feet and a soft heavy chest that strained mightily against the remains of his wetsuit. His rump had inflated into a pair of oversized beachballs that bounced and swayed whenever he paddled along.
Slowly, Nelson turned himself over so he rested lightly on his tremendous tum. “So how’re you gonna get out now? I don’t think you’ll be fitting through any of the old doors, blubber butt.”
“I’ll bust my way out if need be,” the dragon replied, folding his arms. “But I certainly hope I won’t have to. I’d hate to feed you another school of fish, lard whale.”
Nelson gulped softly. “I won’t eat you!” he said weakly, nibbling the dragon’s hefty frontage. “But you don’t need to go on with the name calling, you know. That’s not a nice thing to do to your friends.”
“Mmm, neither is eating them,” Callum laughed, rubbing the shark’s nose. “You’re right though. I shouldn’t call you anything other than what you are.” He smirked at the big fish and squeezed his cheeks. “A big, blubbery goof of a whale shark.”
Nelson huffed and pushed Callum backwards until his rump bounced against the pipe. “Don’t make me stuff you again, doughball. I’m still hungry, you know.”
“Are you?” the dragon grinned and lifted the lid of the metal pipe a bit, his own immense belly letting out a growl. “Funny you say that, I’m a bit peckish myself. Shall we enjoy another less life-threatening meal together? As friends?”
A grin spread across the big shark’s chubby face as the familiar white light bathed his features and sent his teeth gleaming. “Oh I really shouldn’t,” he giggled, pressing his soft belly up against Callum’s bulging rump. “But what’s the harm, hm?”

I really enjoyed this, hopefully you guys will get to collaborate again!
I love the story overall. I like how Callum the fat dragon befriended one of the top predators of the deep blue sea. Both ended up all fat and cuddly!
To be honest, in elementary I was so into sharks. I believe Nelson is the symbol of how sharks truly are and what people fail to see. Sharks have always believed to be mindless killing machines, but further studies and interactions with them prove they are kind creatures that don’t mean any harm to us.
that s the exact reason i really like them too , very powerful and scary looking creatures , yet they do not kill if they dont really need to ( and they can be quite curious as well! )
