Inspired by the likes of raccoondrew and the other toony artists out there, here's Sid and Gordy! One's an all-powerful demigod of luck, and the other... well, he's doing his best.
-Sid is a fortune demigod, granting wishes to whoever can free him. One particular instance had him sealed in a fortune cookie.
-Gordy was the one who freed Sid from his confines, almost devouring him in the process. Confused on the idea that he gets a "free wish", Sid spent some time talking it with him. Apparently that was enough for Gordy to start bonding because he wished that Sid was "my best friend forever".
-Sid in his "mortal" form is a rather unique creature and tends to garner the interest of everyone around him.
-Gordy himself is a positively rotund fox who's far more threatening if you're a doughnut than a criminal. Despite this, he's so non-threatening that he puts people around him at ease... well, when he's not eating.
-Sid, finding himself bound to a mortal, enlisted in the academy under Gordy's pleading. Turns out being a luck-based demigod has its advantages in police work.
-Gordy' level of food consumption is somewhere between awe inspiring and terrifying. You haven't quite seen gluttony until you watch a fox consume 4 pizzas by rolling them up and casually swallowing them whole. As such, Gordy is often wolfing down doughnuts, stopping by eateries to swallow meals in seconds, or occasionally partaking in eating contests, usually with a handicap against him.
-Sid seems rather apathetic toward Gordy, often letting him feel the results of his actions, but despite his outward protests, he will always step in when things get rough for the fox.
-Gordy isn't exactly intelligent in the slightest, but does seem to have a 6th sense when it comes to getting gut-wrenching amounts of food on his paycheck.
-Sid can grant wishes, but only if Gordy makes them. Gordy doesn't quite know how to use this power, and Sid kinda admits it's for the best.
-Gordy's got a very capable snout; he can sniff out the contents of a pizza from across the station.
-Sid finds himself nearly picking up Gordy's habits at time. He resists, sure, but even he knows that the bloated fluffball can rub off on him.
-Gordy's stomach appears to be incredibly powerful, considering how many pillows and bone that he's eaten by accident.
-Sid's luck seems to extend to everyone around him, especially Gordy, who seems positively blessed by his presence.
-Gordy's patrol car is an old land boat, and even then it's a bit too small, filled with junk food and wrappers, and tends to smell when Gordy really gets hungry. Repeat criminals fear getting in the back of that thing when Gordy rolls around, one side of his car practically sparking on the pavement.
-Sid is a great detective, and his instance of having Gordy at his side at all time is the only reason why Gordy is considered one as well.

I would way rather have seen this than "Bonkers" as a full series!
I admit, they're certainly taken from the same vein! I'd certainly love to write that kind of show!
XD Damn, this is very nice.
Why do I get the feeling Gordy would get along well with my own piggy policewoman? x3

I bet he would! Honestly she'd be impressed with how much he can scarf down~
And vice versa ;D It'd be healthy (ha!) for her to have a pal she could just be herself around really...being the biggest cop on the force has its ups and downs.
Love to doodle 'im sometime! And your other characters too of course
