A pregnant Feli finds herself walking through the desolate wasteland of a post-apocalyptic world. It wasn't the prettiest sight to behold, but that's what she gets for picking random dimensional coordinates to decide where she should visit next. Neil got a somewhat better destination...a war zone...but at least something was happening over there while all she could see is nothing but death across the horizon. Who knows though, maybe the world she's in might be where the world Neil's in will end up eventually.
She however decided that she was curious enough to see what the world she was in could have been like before the disaster. Though even after travelling for a few miles, there were hardly any remnants of society remaining and there were no bodies to be found. There were only just little remains of concrete building architecture and rusted metal, which signified that this society was at a somewhat advanced stage before their demise.
This world. So arid. So barren. So devoid of life. Her sheer existence in this world right now was quite the contrast. She was brimming with fertility. A shame there was no way she could share it with this world, as it was far too late now.
Her body began to shiver slightly as she began to walk further towards what seemed was a wasted city. She felt the presence of other entities beside herself within the vicinity. She began to think that maybe she'd finally be able to get some answers! Any sentient being would surely do!
But no, where she ended up was at some sort of dead tree within the midst of the city. It was the only tree in sight, and Feli could see why. This tree is a gathering place of the souls of the people who presumably died during the apocalypse. So many souls were circling endlessly around this tree, as if it were a beacon to attract them. This was certainly no ordinary tree, but she had to wonder if the tree was always meant to be this way, or if the tree had to end up becoming this way.
She approached the tree and walked right past some of the souls who were circling about, ignoring her presence. She looked at the tree and rubbed its bark. It was still very sturdy to the touch and she could feel the spiritual energy emanating from it. This energy felt rather warm and comforting as it flowed through her body.
It was then she noticed that one of the souls approached her. The spiritual power flowing from the tree to her body must've given her some of that attractiveness to these souls. She turned around to lean on the tree, moving her arms to take the soul into her hands. They were covered in a chilly aura, so it was no wonder why they sought the warmth of the tree. She opted to bring the soul closer to her body to get a closer look, when the unexpected began to happen.
The soul phased right into her pregnant belly.
She gasped softly in surprise. She could feel as that cold aura began to occupy her womb. But then as seconds pass, that cold feeling began to disappear, and she could feel that soul beginning to take a physical form, expending her belly out as that soul now forced its way to becoming one of her own.
And at that moment, all hell broke loose.
Every single one of those souls began spiraling in a much tighter circle around the tree, quickly descending down towards the Zangoose with their destination being their new salvation of rebirth, Feli's womb. She of course had no objections to this and gladly allowed all of the souls to take residence in their new home. Her belly was gradually expanding further as each soul transformed into a physical unborn child, actively fighting for space within as they all wanted to fit inside their new mother.
One of the souls strayed from the formation to approach her directly. She looked upon this soul as she panted from this tight feeling his belly. The soul then floated to the side of her belly and gently pressed against it rather than phase in completely, as if it were hesitant on whether it wanted to go in or not. The Zangoose snickered and gently held the soul pressed softly against her growing womb, patting the top of her belly in a reassuring manner. Within a few seconds, the soul phased in like the rest and her hand was left holding onto her underbelly.
As the number of souls dwindled, Feli felt less and less energy being emitted from the tree behind her. The tree was starting to grow frailer, and she had to move away from the tree before she ended up causing it to topple.
Eventually, once the final soul entered into her womb, Feli looked behind her to see that the tree was now withered away to practically nothing. The spiritual energy it once had was all now in her body. She could feel it. She now became the gathering place of the lost souls. And unlike their previous beacon, this Zangoose was able to allow them a second chance at life. And she was more than capable of carrying them all. Her belly at this point ended up becoming big enough that her arms could only embrace about half of her belly if she were to reach for her navel. But as she knows, she can definitely handle more.
So after paying her respects to the tree for passing on the spiritual power to her, she took some more time to aimlessly wander about the post-apocalyptic world she accidentally stumbled across, hoping to find more lost souls to give a new home to.
She couldn't wait to show off her new body to Neil.

Wowee, a practical short story for this one! One that took so much thinking that I ended up posting this past Halloween when this would've been perfect! Oh well!
It's about time there was some more pregnant Feli in this gallery! And yeah, both Neil and Feli are capable of taking in souls and becoming pregnant with them.

A rather lovely story! Also makes me curious how many more souls Feli came across as she waddled where ever she was going next.
