The sun was rising and the time was just right, as Vox slithered through the canopy towards the outer-edges of his jungle towards the delightful little log cabin built there. The naga had been observing his quarry for several months, watching him grow plump and comfortable...the wooden cottage in the middle of the woods always had a way of attracting prey to live there, seeing a perfectly empty, comfortable home...who wouldn't simply make themselves at home?
Today was special, however, Vox was starving and he simply could not wait any longer. The delightful fox Cibus and himself had already been acquainted several times, Vox helped Cibus forage for berries and mushrooms on more than one occasion, seemingly unafraid of the massive snake living in the jungle near the cottage. Vox had earned this prey's trust, and as he slithered down from the trees and tapped on the door, Cibus was all too happy to come outside and ask how his friend was doing.
“Do you remember weeks back when I mentioned a magical oasis deep within the jungle, and you mentioned you'd like to see it sometime?” Vox asked, pulling Cibus close with one arm.
The fox grinned and nodded. “You said when the time was right...has the time arrived?”
The naga nodded, turning towards the jungle as he lifted Cibus into his arms. It would be much faster if he carried his prey there out of sight. “Yesss, little one. Everything is perfect for you to come sssee now. I'm sure you will enjoy it.”
The trip didn't take long, being a jungle dweller and knowing the lay of the land flawlessly. By the afternoon they had arrived upon a shimmering, beautiful oasis Vox always loved basking near. As Cibus gazed in awe at the beauty around him, the naga looming over him smiled, neatly arranging his coils in preparation for his meal. “I didn't bring you all this way out here for just thisss, little Cibusss, I wanted you to see sssomething even more alluring.”
As he turned around, Cibus' gaze was instantly met with Vox's, having lowered himself eye-level with his meal. Hypnotic patterns of ruby red and sapphire blue rippling from his large eyes instantly had the fox under his spell. But this hypnotic hold was different than most, while Cibus gazed deep into his eyes, he simply felt his body ignore all his attempts to move, paralyzed by what he found in that loving stare as thick, heavy coils began to coil themselves around his trembling, weak body. Orange fur slowly disappearing into folds of muscled blue scale.
The naga worked slow, wanting to savor these last few moments, as he had eagerly anticipated the day he would finally claim his prize. The coils continued to wrap around Cibus, ceasing just under his limp arms before another heavy coil bend back over his shoulder to hold him ever so close. With gentle, comforting hands supporting the fox's head, he inched his snout closer, wanting the full power of his gaze to hold Cibus for the duration...to Vox's surprise the hold seemed as strong now as it was before, almost as if his prey was not fighting back.
“Don't worry, dear Cibusssss...you'll enjoy it, promissse...” Vox hisses softly as he moved the coiled-up fox towards a bed of his coils awaiting him. Cibus was now buried in coils facing away from the great predator, staring at the glistening waterfall of the oasis pool, the sun casting rays through the canopy, a beautiful sight considering it is his last. Vox made sure the hypnosis wasn't too strong as to prevent the poor preyfox from feeling his footpaws sliding into the silken folds of his slick maw, and one coil at a time being unwrapped from his legs as he was fed inside the naga's maw.
The soft, leathery creaking of the coils flexing and rippling around Cibus echoed in his ears, feeling the thick band of muscle peeling away from his belly as the warmth of that fleshy maw slid over his hips and closed gently around his stomach. It wasn't long before the rest of the coils started to pull away, and Vox's hands guided his prey's arms into his maw before taking another slow, deliberately tight swallow, pulling poor Cibus in until only his head remained in the cavernous maw. Vox wondered what it must look like for him, seeing his world through the frame of glistening jaws.
One last swallow sent the Fox down his throat, but he made sure it was slow, giving him every precious second to watch the beauty of the jungle fade into ice-blue flesh as the jaws closed, leaving him in darkness and nothing to listen to but the soft thudding of the serpent's heart and the slick sounds of the flesh squeezing around his body as it pulled him deeper. “Such a wonderful prey you were...almossst sssad to lossse you~” Vox says with a soft, sibilant hiss as he coils himself up in the trees to rest in the sunlight.

Technically not true dodo birds take the prize for that literally too stupid to survive
Nah man, humans are gonna go to the fuckin' moon
then then they'll live and be the first species on earth to live on the moon.

Probably one of the only preds that I would be happy letting polly become their prey.
Vox that maw looks amazing, inkanyamba, few others. Snakes are amazing nagas are interesting. Polly is not willing prey but hypno seems so interesting and something I have always wanted polly to learn, you know for her own prey.
GOLLY HECK, that look on the hypno'd prey's face peeking out of that handsome naga's maw~ Simply lovely! <3
Very gorgeous art work and visual style. I love the shine of light and the environment too. Such a sweet-heart Naga.
This is fantastic work, amazingly thick coils to pass out against~
