*Story based of dream, that expanded on*
I woken up and gotten out of bed. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I stretched as I prepared to walk out the room. That’s when I felt something odd. Though not only did something feel odd, something smelled odd. I looked behind me and noticed a long black and white striped tail. “What’s this?” I said in shock. I lifted the tail. It was quite fuzzy but didn’t really weigh much. The closer I got tail to my face the more I could smell it. I smelled like...like a skunk.
I don’t know what happened. I didn’t know how to hide it. I braced myself as I walked out of my room and into my living room. Just my luck not only was my family sitting there but more family were with them. Before they could see me one of them uttered “oh PU what’s that smell” I was embarrassed but there was nothing I could do. Other family member mentions the smell and notices me. “It’s you they said” I tired hiding my giant bushy tail behind me but it was impossible. “Go take a shower” I looked at them as a walked to the bathroom. None of them said anything about my new tail.
I stood in the bathroom not knowing what to do. I decided to shower. The water hit my body and then my tail. My tail became heavy and wet. I sighed. I scrubbed hard but the smell didn’t go away. In fact I think it got worse. I scrubbed and scrubbed, but the more I scrubbed the more my skin was getting cover in fur. That fur quickly became wet. My human body was appearing more and more skunk like. My face now sporting a short muzzle. My ears rounded and flicking at the feel of being wet.
I stepped out of shower and was dripping wet. I looked into the mirror and what stared back was a skunk. I examined myself. I once again picked up my now dripping wet slightly heavy tail. I had gone through a whole body of shampoo. The smell was still there. I took every towel in my bathroom in an attempt to dry my fur.
When I felt I was dry enough I took a deep breath and prepared for what my family was going to do. Scream? Call me a monster? I closed my eyes while I stepped out. No one said a thing. I opened my eyes. I was in shock. My human family were now a family of anthropomorphic skunks. I didn’t know what to say. Someone finally spoke. “You sure took a long time in the shower” I laughed nervously as I replied with a meep and shy, “yea”.
I walked into the room. I stood there and wondered what happened. I once again lifted my now more dry tail. Hidden within the flowery shampoo was my skunky musk. I didn’t mind the smell. Why would I it’s the smell I had this birth. I don’t even remember why I took such an intense shower. I shrugged my shoulders and walked to my family and joined them in conversation.

Don't you know the recipe for getting rid of skunk musk? It's baking soda, dish soap, and hydrogen peroxide! (Your local veterinary office should have the exact recipe.)
I was hoping for a continuation of the previous story so we could see what happened to the people crowding and staring at him, but this will do for now.
