I don't typically go all the way in for realism. I mean i'm not exactly miles away either but that very sort of neat and tidy realism isn't something i lean into overly so. So i simply wanted to see how far i could push it with this one. Of course i could push it further by just throwing manhours at it and cleaning things up further, but i had to call it quits at some point and get back to work. Was fun to work on though!
Don't think i'll use it as an avatar though, my current one just has a much better read at those lower resolutions.

It is Truly you, it is outstanding, brilliantly & awesome.
Not using it as your Avatar, to whatever makes you happy!
Thank you, Nomax.

No problem. It is amazingly realistic and expressive. Also love that coat.
How do you go about choosing brushes? The brush you've used is very obvious in the final product.
I just go with whatever feels the most comfortable to me. And it also just changes over time with brushes going in and out of favour over time.
Hah, yeah kind of! Just don't stab me. Or maybe do, it'll probably look pretty funny.
holy shit that looks soo real life
like a someone took a photo

Your character always looks very good (especially with that kind of clothes), so it's good to see his face with more details!
ah nomax I have no idea how you do it
your textures and depth are always perfect, your art is everything I wish I could do :,D awesome work as always

Man, this work is so realistic, I mistook it for a photoshop!
Haha on twitter someone mentioned Will Smith in Wild Wild West :D
I geniunely thought it was a photoshopped picture for a few moments. Amazing as usual :)
Astonishing work, the details on the collar and fabric and the depth of that gaze are breathtaking. You should be really pleased!
Is there a way that I can get your brushes? Your art is amazing and I would love to get into some environment concept art
Holy cow! I thought this was a photo-manip from a distance. GORGEOUS work
The lighting is beautiful, and I absolutely love the gold against black details, so gorgeous!
Seriously amazing lovely work <3

Wow. This is an insanely well rendered portrait of your character.
Thought it was a fursuit at first, this is absolutely fantastic!
Love the fur brushes so much and the gold on the lapels are wayyy too great.
I know it has been well over a year, but, I came across this in someone's favourites!
I just want to say, in the tiny thumbnail provided for a favourite - it looked real! I actually thought it was a real image - possibly photoshopped onto a suit - until I took a closer look. It's still a wonderous piece nonetheless, and, proves your artistic realism - even a year before!
The material/texture expression of the glasses and the shirt collar are what truly sell this image's realism - they look spectacular, realistic, even with a closer glance. Almost as if they were photoshopped into the image.

Round glasses and yeen ears work nicely together. Black and gold; does kinda feel a bit art deco with that lapel too . . . ? Fashion.
What I love a lot about your brushes is the visible repitition of the stamps. I guess that contributes to that Art Deco-ness ???
