Hair is serious business! I needed to give this a shot and play around with Myre's hair. It reminded me how much it can influence the entire facial structure, even the personality of a character! First one is ol' regular Myre, as you know her.
Which one do you like best? ;)
I'm preparing for the next big announcement regarding Myre soon! Stay tuned!
In the meanwhile, since the book fair in Leipzig got cancelled, I'm running a big sale in my Yria shop. You can get Myre and HoD up to 31% off.
Ending tomorrow! The books are all handsigned. Leave me a note in the shop if you have questions or special requests. <3 --> https://www.yriachronicles.com/shop

Classic style is always good but I love the second and third one as well <3
oooh I love this! I love the look of dreadlocks and her colors are really cool! Also that last one is great! lol! I like 2, 3, and 4.
I like second and fourth, wild and unkempt. But I guess it would be a nuisance, they would get into eyes and everywhere else.
Dreads tend to get in the face quite often, I agree. But characters sometimes have to suffer so much to look the way we want. °-°
I like the top three, The third top one gives off an impression of maturity and focus as if she is working on something she does not need her hair in the way of. The very last one, just makes me laugh up a storm. very nice artwork as always.
I really like the second and fourth one but I do like her original hairstyle too.
I had to laugh at the run-over-by-a-lawnmower and that's-too-tight looks. ;)
Oh hell yeah. And liberty spikes, that Siouxsie/Robert Smith/Eddie Scishands batcave thing, pompadour, beehive--you've just barely scratched the surface here. Put #5 in a business suit and she's got the Annie Lennox look dead on, and I know she could totally rock anything Cyndi Lauper, fer shurr. I mean, your heroine doesn't seriously go adventuring without a hair crimper does she?
Lol #6 is 100% how i feel everytime i ever tried to put my hair up into a pony tail. I absolutely hated the feeling of my whole face being pulled back with it XD
1-4 are my amazing, but 2 an 4 are my favorite.

Ahh, same here! It can cause real headaches if something is constantly pulling on your scalp. :')
Wide/thick non-grippy bands, no metal crimper bits, worn loose. The stretchy ribbon type has been working pretty well for me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A7X0U90/
I really like #3. #6 made me burst out laughing. Myre is not liking that one bit.
Last two hair styles.
Myre looks annoyed at being clipped.
Pull hair knot tight. Myre yelps, "Yipe"

Imagine a conversation with her looking like this. No expressions possible there. :)
I demand the use of bows and hibiscus!!1!1!
I'd say, top middle looks like a more relaxed moment, maybe in the morning. But my favourite must be top right one! It's a bit elaborate as a hairstyle, so now I imagine that maybe there's some kind of town festival (spring? Harvest?) where she arrived, someone kindly lent her a nice dress so she could go and dance with the others, and so she tried an elegant hairstyle to match the dress.
...ok, now I also imagine Varug sitting pretty with a giant pink bow around her neck and all the kids looking at her with awe XD

Yeah, hair can be a pain. Even more when playing in digital 3D, as most hair assumes human ears and not those things sticking up like that!
I love the fourth . But , what about it with a ponytail too ? ^_^"
I like the second version -- Has a nice heroic, dynamic look to it, without being too fancy. I think it's a good match for a Fantasy character. Version 4 probably isn't a serious design, but I think you'd lose too much potential for composition and movement with a short hairstyle.
