So, a new comic has begun! I'm very excited about it. I have the script mostly written and it'll be at least twice as long as the last comic I did. This is partly just because I want to try a slower pace. With the last comic I didn't want to give myself too much work out of fear that I couldn't finish it. I want to do better this time.
The character designs are only loosely based on the characters seen in my previous image, but they're the same basic people. I gave the speaker a simpler dress because that other one would've been a nightmare to draw over and over again in a comic.
It's funny to me that I consider things like revealing a character's name before they're named in the comic to be sort of a spoiler (hence why I simply called her "the speaker" above). It doesn't give away anything, I just don't like doing it. I guess I can tell you that the rabbit gentleman from Charmed is named Henri Durand, since he doesn't appear in the comic, though he's mentioned.
A challenge I've given myself in drawing this comic: no using the line tool on the final ink layer. I can use straight lines on the sketch layer, but I have to trace over them with the pen tool. I hope this will improve my ability to draw straight lines while also giving the comic a more natural look (which is hopefully distinct from just looking messy and terrible).
