Who needs to ride in a sled when a trash can lid and good balance will do more than fine? After all, when there's no sled for a sled dog to pull, one has to improvise, and Leo is all for it if it'll lead to some fun and wacky adventures!

So this wonderful sweetheart that I'm friends with on Steam, , got herself a new account on FurAffinity two months ago, especially since she was looking into getting a new fursona for herself! I should know this 'cause she hired me personally to make up a concept for her! Except... I was still wallowing in my own sorrow with other dark shit, so I couldn't focus on quite a few things I enjoyed doing before, and I buried myself in YouTube and games to numb the pain (I still am, with little success). That's when sometime after, she informed me she had someone else doing it for her, to which I apologized profusely over, but she wasn't upset with me in the slightest and instead felt bad for me and how I was holding up. I don't deserve forgiving friends like her.
At the very least, I wanted to make up for not putting together a concept for her, especially when her fursona came out so damn gorgeous!
So after checking out her new fursona's refsheet - and realizing that said sona is a sled dog - I immediately knew that had to do something winter-related!
I'm not too good with poses - especially when I never use references (referencing vs. tracing still worries and confuses me) - but I'd like to think that I got the general ideas of what they were doing down-pat! The expressions especially were pretty fun to do! I'm not an expert on drawing snow, so I used blends of extremely light blue with white and then scattered a light brush pattern over the light blue to give it a nice, snowy look. And I made sure to add lots of snow around front of the "kiddie" sled and underneath Ellie's foot-paw to give the picture some depth and show that they're really engaging with the environment! Her fur patter seemed a bit tricky to pull off as it was all new to me, but I'm glad I had fun with it and enjoying getting them as faithfully as I could! And I decided to incorporate the bi pride colours for the harness (which I doubt I have a good grasp of drawing, lol) as a nice little nod to the fact that Ellie, herself, is bisexual!
I'm so happy that you love the drawing overall, ! You're so amazing and sweet!
