One of these characters that I've had in the backburner from ages ago. It originates in a story of a young man called Arthur heading off into the most inhospitable northern areas of the world where the near legendary gray bears have been rumored to speak in human tongue. But with the area's characteristic gray pines, the constantly gray winter skies and its gray fur; they are nearly impossible to find. He is caught unprepared in the blizzard, his entire expedition force perishes to the cold, but is saved by the very thing he wanted to study (Yes, it's pretty much unoriginal as f*ck).
In the story gray bears are not anthropomorphic, but for FA I figured it might be better if they were.
It's also my real first "character design", and I'm really happy with how the fur coat turned out. I'll definitely make more images of gray bears in the future.
Sorry for the lack of progress images though, but it's been nothing special this time so I wouldn't worry. I'm also a bit annoyed that it's yet another 'generic pose', but it's fine this time I think since it started only as a color sheet really.
UPDATE: Adding color to the picture using a warm back light. Updated the text "gray bear" to match (lol). Brightened background to bring out the character more/increase contrast. Fixed a few cosmetic misses in the coat.
UPDATE: Added new poses of the same character to show backside and one that is a bit more dramatic... *EPIC LEAP*
