Squeel and Chirithy finished collecting all of Gavin’s Heart fragments, and were congratulating each other on a job well done. When they finished collecting the Heart fragments, they began to walk towards Gavin and Len.
Len: Gavin! Gavin! Hang in there!
Hearing Len yell at Gavin in concern, made both of them worry, and rush towards them. When they made it, they saw Gavin, clutching his head in agony, as Len tried what she could to console Gavin.
Squeel: Len! What’s going on!? What happened!?
Len: I don’t know! We finished looking at the page we had on our hands, and the next thing I see was Gavin writhing in pain!
Chirithy: Oh no! Gavin! Hang in there!
Gavin could only bear with the pain, as more visions came rushing into his head. He was seeing a flashback to a dream once again, this time it felt almost real to him. He saw himself meeting up with Ephemer, as he apologized for being late. Both of them made their way back to the area where they stopped. However, when Ephemer asked Gavin if he was ready, he never gave him an answer, and assumed that he wasn’t. But before he could say anything to Ephemer, he only replied “I’ll be waiting, Gavin.” Before he disappeared into a flock of dandelions.
After the vision, the pain went away, but Gavin could do nothing but collapse from the exhaustion. Len rolled him on his back, and saw he still had his eyes open, meaning that he was still conscious.
Len: Gavin. Let’s just hold off on looking at anymore pages right now. You’re in no shape to keep continuing right now.
Gavin: But…but what about you and Squeel getting back home?
Len: Forgot about that right now! Think about yourself for once!
Gavin could do nothing but look up at Len, who had nothing but worry and fear written all over her face.
Len: Look! I do want to home. But if it means you have to keep suffering like this to do it, I would rather wait until you are able to get back up after having these visions.
Chirithy: Gavin…
Squeel: It’s going to be okay, Gavin. Look, we even collected all of your Heart pieces. See?
Squeel opened the large sack, revealing all of the Heart fragments they collected. When Squeel opened the sack, all of the Heart fragments started to glow. In an instant, a blinding light came out from the sack, causing everyone to cover their eyes. When the bright light faded, Squeel looked inside of the sack, where she saw all of the Heart fragments fused together, and became one whole Heart.
Squeel: Well look at that. They became one Heart.
Chirithy went inside of the sack, and took out Gavin’s Heart. They went up to Gavin, and placed it over his chest. As the Heart was over Gavin’s chest, it went inside him, making him have a Heart once again.
Gavin: Chirithy. Squeel. Thank you…
Gavin placed a hand over his chest, where he felt his Heart beating inside of him. When he did, he also noticed that his headache was gone, and his strength had come back to him.
Gavin: I think giving my Heart back made me get back my strength.
Len: So, your head isn’t hurting anymore?
Gavin shook his head no, giving off a smile.
Gavin: Are you ready for the next page?
Len: I am. But I will stop if you get another vision again.
Gavin: Okay.
Gavin and Len took out the next piece of paper that was glowing and examined it. The page glowed brighter, as their senses went blank. Seeing this, Squeel became concerned.
Squeel: Gavin? Len? Are you both okay?
Chirithy: It’s alright, Squeel. This is normal. Gavin and Len are looking at the page and what memories it has. This makes them lose their senses until they are done seeing the page.
Squeel: Oh.
Chirithy: I know it looks scary, but they’re fine. But since they’re going to be a bit, we might as well help them out.
Squeel: How can we help them?
Chirithy: It looks like they didn’t pile all of the pages, and there are still some on the ground behind them. Mind helping me collect those for them?
Squeel: Certainly.
Chirithy, and Squeel made their way to the area that still had pages scattered about, and they started to collect them one by one.
Gavin made his way back to the bridge area, determined to head back to the Underground Waterways that both he and Ephemer stopped at before they called it a day. As Gavin continued to walk forward, Chirithy did all they could to try and convince Gavin to turn back.
Chirithy: I don’t think this is a good idea.
Gavin was looking all around him, trying to remember where the entrance to the Underground Waterway was.
Chirithy: Are you even listening?
Gavin then dashed past Chirithy, leaving them behind.
Chirithy: Wait! Where are you going?
Gavin dashed to the last place he remembered how he got into the Underground Waterways, and to his convenience, the manhole was still open. Gavin made his way underground, and continued to walk down the pathway. However, when he reached the area, he and Ephemer stopped at the last time, he encountered someone he didn’t expect. Master Ava, the leader of the Vulpes Union. When Gavin stopped in his tracks, Chirithy caught up to him.
Chirithy: Master Ava…!?
At this time, Master Ava started to approach Gavin.
Master Ava: You’re Gavin.
Gavin nodded his head yes, confirming her assumption.
Master Ava: Why are you here?
Gavin asked her if she had any idea on the whereabouts of Ephemer.
Master Ava: Ephemer? Yes, I know him, but you still haven’t answered my question.
Gavin went on to explain why he was there.
Master Ava: You came to find me because of some rumour? You had a dream?
Gavin explained to Master Ava about his dream, and what he saw.
Master Ava: I see. Ephemer said he was waiting for you here in your dream, but this place is restricted. So you thought that he may have gotten caught up in the problems that we Foretellers have been having lately. And because someone saw us talking the other day, you thought that maybe I had something to do with it.
Gavin nodded his head yes once more.
Master Ava: You’re honest. I like you. You’re not too far off base, but I can’t tell you much else right now.
At that moment, Master Ava summoned out her Keyblade, ready to fight. This caught Gavin and Chirithy by surprise.
Chirithy: Master Ava!?
Master Ava took her battle stance.
Master Ava: Show me what you can do.
Gavin knew he had no other choice at the moment, and summoned out his Olympia Keyblade, ready to fight Master Ava. The battle then started. Gavin’s keyblade began to spark with electricity, as he used Spark Blade. He dashed from left to left around Master Ava, doing some damage. Gavin then jumped up into the air, and swung his keyblade left and right, creating 11 energy slashes that hit Master Ava directly. Before Master Ava could get an attack in, Gavin hovered up into the air, pointing his keyblade directly at her. When he powered his keyblade up enough, he fired 2 clusters of energy from the tip of his keyblade. With all of the energy Gavin had left, Gavin cloaked his keyblade with a veil of Darkness, and immediately charged towards Master Ava. However, instead of attacking directly, he immediately jumped up into the air, using Dark Break. What followed was a barrage a downward dark aerial strikes and teleportation to repeat the process. After 11 hits, Gavin ended his attacks against the Master. Even after dealing a barrage of attacks against Master Ava all at once, she was still standing, almost as if she wasn’t fazed by the attacks at all. With all of his energy used up, Gavin couldn’t defend himself. Master Ava raised her keyblade up into the air, but instead of attacking, she dismissed her keyblade, indicating that the battle was over. With the battle being over, the adrenaline Gavin had gone away, and fell on his butt as his legs gave out.
Master Ava: Not bad. I see a lot of potential in you. But I also see sadness in your heart. Probably from remember the memories of your past life before you were brought here. Hanging on to it will eventually lead to darkness. You need to somehow let it go.
Master Ava approached Gavin and Chirithy.
Master Ava: With this little one helping you, you’ll be fine. Now, go home. And I’m sorry, but this area is strictly off-limits, all right?
Master Ava helped Gavin get up on his feet, as he nodded yes to her, showing that he understood what she told him. Once he was up, Gavin walked away, making his way out of the Underground Waterways.
The light faded from the sheet of paper, as Gavin came back to his senses. Gavin looked to his left, and saw Len, who was now looking at Gavin. The page then disappeared into the book, becoming another addition to the flock of pages contained within.
Len: What in the world were you thinking!? Going up against a Foreteller! Are you insane!?
Gavin: What else was I supposed to do!? She readied herself for battle, so I could only go up against her to defend myself!
Len: Or you could have played it smart and actually surrender!
Gavin: Well at least in the end she left me off the hook.
Len could only look at Gavin unamused, seeing that he may have been a Keyblade Wielder, but he was reckless.
Len: Let’s just get the next page.
Gavin and Len took out the next piece of paper that was glowing and examined it. The page glowed brighter, as their senses went blank.
It was a few days later, and Gavin was back at the Fountain Square. As he was relaxing, Chirithy suddenly appeared from a small puff of smoke.
Chirithy: You’ve been doing a fantastic job lately. So, I have a present for you! Dun dada duuun!
Chirithy opened the pouch that was in front of them, and revealed a bracelet.
Chirithy: The Bracelet of Light!
Chirithy approached Gavin, and placed it on their right wrist. Gavin raised his right arm up in excitement, showing the bracelet.
Chirithy: I’m glad you’re excited, but gee, calm down. Why don’t you put it somewhere for safekeeping?
Gavin only smiled and nodded at Chirithy.
Chirithy: With that bracelet, you can protect yourself against darkness. You’ll need it for the special mission we got from the Foretellers. You’ll be doing the same thing, you know, dealing with monsters…just in a different, darker place…Your mission is to defeat the Heartless in the Corridor of Darkness. But be careful. That bracelet can only protect you for so long.
Gavin raised his right arm up once again, and immediately brought it down.
Chirithy: I knew I could count on you, kiddo. Now go and get ‘em! I’m rootin’ for you!
Gavin turned around, and saw a small dark portal. That was the corridor that lead to the Dark Realm. Gavin went through the portal, and went straight to work. Gavin went deeper and deeper into the Dark Realm, as he encountered a large number of Heartless dwelling around. With each victory, he got stronger, determined to make it out of the Dark Realm alive. But as Gavin dove deeper and deeper into the darkness, he noticed that some areas were the exact same as the areas he went to when he travelled to the other worlds. Only now, it was covered in a thick cloud of darkness. As Gavin was reaching the exit of the Dark Realm, he encountered the main target, a Darkside Heartless. Gavin quickly charged towards at the Darkside Heartless in front of him, as he used Spark Blade. Gavin's Olympia Keyblade glowed Yellow, emitting electricity, and used it to swiftly go through the Darkside Heartless back and forth 6 times. At the end of the attack, the Darkside Heartless was still standing, acting as if it wasn't phased by the attack. Seeing this, Gavin quickly charged towards the Darkside Heartless again, this time jumping up into the air, using Dark Break. What followed was Gavin jumping high enough to be up above the Darkside Heartless, where he then pointed his keyblade in front of him. As Gavin did this, his Keyblade was cloaked in a veil of Darkness and performed a downward aerial strike. He then teleported up into the air again, and repeated the process 6 more times. After 7 hits, Gavin ended his attacks against the Heartless, as he landed back on to the ground, easily defeating it. With the target Heartless defeated, Gavin proceeded to the exit, where he found himself back at the Fountain Square. Waiting for him, was Chirithy.
Chirithy: You were great in there, kiddo! Let’s call it a day. But you never know when we’ll get another mission like this, so be prepared!
Gavin nodded his head in agreement, and started to walk back home to his teammates.
Squeel and Chirithy finished off collecting the last piece of paper that was on the ground, happy with this sense of accomplishment.
Squeel: There we go! All finished!
Chirithy: Now we can give this to Gavin and Len.
Squeel and Chirithy made their way back to Gavin and Len, as they were both coming back to their senses. When they came back to their senses, the sheet of paper they were holding disappeared, and went inside of the book, becoming an additional page.
Squeel: Looks like you two are back.
Gavin and Len turned around, where they saw Squeel and Chirithy, both of them holding the rest of the pages.
Len: Oh hey. You collected the rest of the pages.
Chirithy: We felt that this was the best thing to do while you two looked at each one. At least then you don’t have to scramble to find the next one.
Gavin: Thank you. Both of you.
Gavin smiled at the both of them, as Squeel gave the pages she had to Len, and Chirithy to Gavin. Both of them added the pages into the pile, as the next page they were to look at glowed.
Gavin: I hope you two don’t mind waiting for us here.
Chirithy: It’s alright. If anything happens to you again, we’ll be here for you.
Squeel: You can count on us.
Gavin nodded his head yes, as both he and Len took hold of the next page, and their senses went blank. Both of them went through the same experience over and over with each page they looked at. One by one, Gavin started to remember the further adventures he experienced and what he had gone through, while Len watched where Gavin travelled to and did. Page after page, it revealed Gavin going through and travelling to the Worlds of Beast’s Castle (Beauty and the Beast), and the Castle of Dreams (Cinderella). After the latest page, Gavin and Len came back to their senses, with the current page they were holding disappeared and went into the now almost-filled book.
Gavin: I can’t believe it. We’re almost done filling the book.
Len: Felt like an eternity since we started this. But I will admit. Seeing everything that you have gone through, you really have been on one long adventure since you found yourself in that world.
Gavin: Not just me neither. Oliver, Shred, Lizzie, Talon, Keeley, Mikey, and everyone else in the team. We all pushed forward and came out on top. Even if we were from different worlds, we ended up sticking together.
Len: Gavin! You just remembered your teammates names!
Gavin realized what Len had told him, and his eyes widened.
Gavin: You’re right, Len! I remember them! My friends!
Gavin was happy upon this realization, and embraced Len, which caught her by surprise. She would’ve been angry at Gavin for doing something like that from out of nowhere, but seeing him getting pieced back together, and remembering who he was bit by bit, she returned the embrace, letting him have this one.
Gavin: Sorry about that. I guess I got carried away.
Len: Just seeing you remember who you are is all that matters right now. Not to mention we’re almost done putting your memories back together completely.
Gavin: Do you want to keep going?
Len: Yes, I do. Because now I am morbidly curious as to what else did you do.
Chirithy: Take care you two!
Gavin and Len took out the next piece of paper that was glowing and examined it. The page glowed brighter, as their senses went blank once more.
Gavin came out of a Light Blue portal he made after finishing what he had to do back at the Castle of Dreams, where he was back at the Fountain Square. As the portal disappeared, he dismissed his keyblade, and took a seat on the fountain ledge. The moment he took a seat, Chirithy appeared from a small cloud of smoke.
Chirithy: You did great out there, champ! I know it’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it.
Gavin told Chirithy that it may have been hard, but there are times he just wanted to give up.
Chirithy: I know, I know. But if you give up now, the other Unions will get ahead.
????: But why does that matter?
Gavin turned around as Chirithy looked behind him to see who was the one that said that. As they did, a Light Blue portal appeared, with a young woman coming out of the portal. The woman had long black hair, pink star earrings, and light brown eyes. She wore a grey, zippered shirt under a black vest, and a studded belt around a black skirt. She wore a red belt that was wrapped around her left arm, and two more around her ankles. She wore black boots and knee-high stockings.
????: It’s not a competition. Or at least it shouldn’t be. Our goal of protecting the light is the same. There’s no need for us to fight.
Chirithy approached the young woman.
Chirithy: Who’re you?
The woman approached Gavin and Chirithy, but then took a seat at the ledge of the fountain.
????: The name’s Skuld! You’re Gavin, right? Nice to meet you!
Skuld raised her hand out, as Gavin did the same, shaking one another’s hand. At this time, Gavin took his seat back on the ledge of the fountain.
Skuld: Ephemer told me all about you.
This caught Gavin by surprise.
Skuld: Don’t look so surprised! He used to be in my party, you know. We met not long after I became a Keyblade Wielder. There was never a dull moment with him around! But then one day, he just quit. I was really upset about it for a while… but then he showed up in my dream the other night and told me to find you!
Gavin was surprised yet again to hear what Skuld told him. This meant that Ephemer was able to communicate with anybody through their dreams.
Chirithy: Why?
Skuld: Good question. I was actually hoping you could tell me. See, I don’t really understand why he was in my dream to begin with. But he asked me to go with you. So here I am.
That was when Gavin told Skuld about his dream a long while back.
Skuld: He was in your dream, too? What’d he say?
Gavin told her everything he knew about the dream.
Skuld: Hmm… if he’s waiting for you, then-
Skuld came up with an idea, as she got up from the fountain ledge.
Skuld: Why don’t we go to the place you’re supposed to meet him?
Upon hearing this plan, Chirithy quickly objected.
Chirithy: No way! Master Ava told us to stay away from there!
Gavin got up from the fountain ledge.
Skuld: Well, there has to be a reason she said that. And I have a feeling it’s the same reason Ephemer asked me to go with you. So let’s get movin-
Skuld was interrupted as she, Gavin, and Chirithy felt the ground shake. This made them wonder what it was.
Skuld: What was that!?
Chirithy: It came from nearby!
Ready to investigate, Skuld summoned her keyblade, as did Gavin.
Skuld: Let’s go, Gavin!
Skuld and Gavin started to run towards where the ground shaking came from, leaving Chirithy behind.
Chirithy: H-hey! Where’re you going!?
Chirithy started to run after Skuld and Gavin, going as fast as the little legs on their body could bring them. As Skuld and Gavin continued to run to the area that the ground shaking occurred, they stopped as soon as they looked up above them. At the rooftops of the buildings, they saw the leaders of the Anguis Union and the Ursus Union, Master Invi and Master Aced, fighting against one another, creating damage and destruction as they fought one another.
Skuld: The Foretellers!
Chirithy caught up to Gavin and Skuld, and witnessed the spectacle that was above.
Chirithy: Oh no…
Skuld: Why are they fighting? Ephemer was right…
Gavin looked to Skuld, questioning her on what she meant.
Skuld: It’s what I was trying to tell you earlier. Just before I woke up, he told me… the end of the world is near.
Gavin’s eyes opened wide when he heard this.
Chirithy: The end!?
Skuld: Yeah. After what we just saw, I can’t help thinking it’s true. This world will disappear just like Ephemer did.
Gavin lowered his head, but he wasn’t ready to give up.
Gavin: Let’s go.
Chirithy: What?
Skuld: Lead the way.
Chirithy: Wait, what?
Gavin and Skuld continued to walk forward, leaving Chirithy with questions.
Chirithy: What just happened?
Chirithy started to run after Gavin and Skuld again, doing their best to catch up. When Gavin and Skuld made it to the bridge, they stopped running as they saw a Light Blue portal appear in front of them. From the portal, three creatures came out, as the portal disappeared behind them.
Gavin, Skuld, and Chirithy: !
The creatures stood on two legs, had yellow eyes, dark wings, and had red claws. They were known as the Darklings.
????: …ux…
????: …Lux…
????: Give…Lux…
Skuld and Gavin readied themselves for battle.
Skuld: Not a chance!
????: Give me Lux!
Chirithy ran off to hide, as Gavin and Skuld prepared themselves. Gavin raised his Keyblade up into the air, and began to spin it like a wheel. As he did, it was covered in a dark purple veil. Gavin charged towards the 3 creatures, running around them and jumping while swinging his Keyblade. This gave the 3 creatures a lot of damage. After the attack, the dark purple veil disappeared. Gavin then pointed his Keyblade at the 3 creatures, and casted Firaga on them, creating a large fireball that resulted in the 3 creatures to suffer burn damage. Gavin didn’t hesitate, and immediately charged at the 3 creatures again, this time jumping up into the air, using Crushing Power. What followed was a barrage a downward aerial strikes and teleportation to repeat the process. After 15 hits, Gavin ended his attacks against the creatures. As Gavin finished off his attack, the 3 creatures ran away, making Gavin and Skuld chase after them. However, they quickly stopped when a small puff of purple smoke appeared, as a Chirithy came out from the purple smoke. But this Chirithy was not like the others. The Chirithy has red eyes, had purple fur with black stripes, and the pouch that was in front of them was black. It was a Dark Chirithy. Seeing this, Chirithy ran back to Gavin and Skuld, getting in front of them.
Chirithy: Aren’t you…?
Dark Chirithy: Long time no see.
Chirithy: So it is you.
Dark Chirithy: You don’t look very happy to see me…Come on, I was trying to help. I thought if I took away everyone’s Lux, there’d be no reason to fight over it anymore. Aren’t I the greatest?
Chirithy: That colour…
Dark Chirithy: You like my new look?
Chirithy: You’ve been tainted by darkness.
Skuld: Darkness!?
Dark Chirithy: What’s wrong? Do you hate darkness? Well, let me tell you a little secret: light and dark are two halves of the same coin. They’re like day and night. One can’t exist without the other. So you should embrace it like they did!
Chirithy: You mean those three used to be living beings?
Dark Chirithy: You betcha.
Gavin and Skuld: !
Skuld: Were they wielders, too?
Dark Chirithy: Right-o. But unlike you, those three can no longer use the power of Medals. The strength they fought you with was all their own! To be perfectly honest, they were pretty wimpy before. But darkness has a way of finding those with weak Hearts and making them strong. Isn’t darkness so sweet?
Chirithy: Those aren’t the teachings!
Dark Chirithy: Teachings-smeechings! The truth of this world isn’t something you can teach, Chirithy. It’s something you have to learn for yourself.
Chirithy: Who is your wielder? Where are they?
Dark Chirithy: hehehe…Closer than you think…
With that, the Dark Chirithy jumped up into that air, and disappeared in a small puff of purple smoke. Knowing that they didn’t have anymore time to lose, Gavin, Skuld, and Chirithy continued to move forward, making their way to the Underground Waterways, and to the same area Gavin was stopped by Master Ava. As Gavin was approaching the stopped gear in front of him, Skuld spoke out.
Skuld: Is this where you last saw Ephemer?
Gavin turned to Skuld, and nodded yes.
Skuld: There HAS to be something up ahead.
Chirithy walked in front of Gavin and Skuld, giving it one last chance to convince them to turn back.
Chirithy: Are you sure this is a good idea? Between those three weirdos and that Dark Chirithy, I don’t have a good feeling about this.
Skuld: You know your way around the tower, don’t you?
Chirithy: Y-yeah, why do you ask?
Skuld: Well, I was hoping you could show us the way.
Chirithy: I-I supposed I could…But this area is off-limits, so once you get a quick peek, we’re outta here. Okay?
Gavin and Skuld nodded yes to Chirithy in agreement.
Skuld: Got it.
Chirithy, Gavin, and Skuld walked through the stopped gear, and continued to walk forward to the unknown. After some exploring, and with the guidance of Chirithy, they found themselves inside of a large room that consisted of desks, books, and vials containing unknown substances. Gavin and Skuld looked all around them in wonder.
Skuld: What is this place?
Chirithy: This is the final room-the Foretellers’ chamber.
Skuld, Gavin, and Chirithy continued to walk deeper into the room, looking for any clue to the whereabouts of Ephemer.
Skuld: Do you think Ephemer was here?
Chirithy: I don’t know. But there’s no one here now and nothing to see. Can we go now?
Skuld: I guess. I was just expecting…more. It’s kind of a letdown, really. I wonder what’s so important about this place.
????: What are you doing here?
Chirithy, Skuld, and Gavin: !
Chirithy, Gavin, and Skuld turned around, and right in front of them, was the Union Leader of the Anguis Union. Master Invi.
Chirithy: Master Invi!
Master Invi approached the three, as Skuld approached the Union Leader.
Skuld: W-we’re so sorry! We were just looking for someone.
Master Invi: Chirithy, I expected more from you. You know this area is off-limits.
Chirithy: I-I’m sorry…
Master Invi walked forward, and walked past Chirithy, Gavin, and Skuld.
Master Invi: I caught another wielder in here just the other day. A friend of yours?
Gavin: Yes, he is.
Skuld pieced together what Master Invi and Gavin were talking about, and quickly figured it out.
Skuld: So he WAS here. Did you talk to him?
Master Invi: Yes. But you must know his Union gathers Lux for a reason that contradicts ours. He befriended you to get his hands on information, nothing more. But he is a threat no longer.
Hearing this, Chirithy, Gavin, and Skuld raised their heads in surprise.
Skuld: Did you-? Is Ephemer-?
Master Invi turned to face Chirithy, Gavin, and Skuld, as she gave them the answer to their question.
Master Invi: He’s gone.
All of the emotion from Skuld and Gavin left them, hearing the news that Ephemer was no more.
Chirithy: Gavin…
Skuld didn’t know what to feel at the moment, but she did feel a lot of anger rising up and overwhelming her.
Skuld: How could you?!
Master Invi: What are you going to do?
Chirithy: Nothing! Master Invi, this is my fault! All of it! They didn’t do anything wrong.
Gavin walked towards Chirithy, and petted them on the head. He then walked past Chirithy and Skuld, and was now in front of Master Invi.
Skuld: Gavin…
Gavin: This whole thing was my idea. I was the one who wanted to look for Ephemer, and for good reason. You see, I’ve gone to different worlds to gather Lux; a lot of effort has gone into the contributions to my Union. I even had to fight those I consider my friends. I’ve done everything that was expected of me without a second thought. And then I met Ephemer. We didn’t know each other for very long, but he left a lasting impression. Not all of our memories are good ones; in fact, he even broke on of our promises. No matter what happened, I knew we were still friends. But you took him away from me. I feel sad, I feel angry, I feel hurt. Maybe that means I have darkness in my Heart; I don’t care. But I can’t let you get away with what you did to my friend. Even if I have to fight you, even if I don’t stand a chance, even if I do die here today by your hand… I will because I know in my Heart that Ephemer, Oliver, Shred, Lizzie, and everyone else in my party would do the same if they were here.
Gavin threw his keyblade in midair away from his right hand, and began to wield it with his left. With his right hand free, Gavin reached to his back and turned on the switch to his proton pack, as he brought out and aimed the proton gun directly at Master Invi, ready to fire
Gavin: Master Invi, I mean no disrespect, but this is something I must do. And I must do it by using everything I got.
Master Invi: And what is it may I ask that you’re holding with your right hand?
Gavin: Oh this. This is something I was able to bring with me, when I was brought to this world a long time ago.
Master Invi was cautious as to what unknown device Gavin had strapped to his back, but nevertheless summoned out her keyblade.
Master Invi: So be it.
Skuld: Gavin!
Gavin was ready for battle, as was Master Invi. Gavin raised his Keyblade up into the air, and used Nature's Favor on himself. A vibrant green glow surrounded him for a moment, causing his strength to increase, as a dark green glow surrounded Invi briefly, causing her defense to decrease. Master Invi immediately dashed towards Gavin, and struck him with her keyblade, causing him to almost lose his balance as he was pushed back. However, Gavin quickly jumped up into the air, and used Serpent’s Illusion. This made Gavin cast 4 magic blasts from the tip of his keyblade, and fired them at Mater Invi. As he fired off his 4th magic blast, he pointed his proton gun directly at Master Invi, and fired, sending a large proton stream towards the Master. Master Invi used her keyblade to block the proton stream from hitting her directly, but the heat and part of the stream hit some parts of her body, causing her to scream in pain, and caused her to suffer 2nd to 3rd degree burns. After 10 seconds, Gavin stopped firing his proton stream, as the proton pack went to immediate cooldown mode. After Gavin stopped firing his proton stream, Master Invi fell to one knee, her body feeling absolutely numb. After the battle was over, Gavin dismissed his keyblade, as he fell down on his butt. Skuld helped Gavin back up, and used herself as support for him. That was when the entire room changed, from being the Foretellers’ Chamber, to the Underground Waterways.
Master Invi: Con…congratulations…You fought…with everything…you had…but please…never use that “thing” you have on your back again…my body still feels numb…
As Master Invi spoke, her entire body began to glow. When the glow faded, it was revealed that it was Master Ava, disguised as Master Invi.
Chirithy: Master Ava…?
Master: Right now…I would heal you…but…I need to treat my own wounds…
Master Ava casted a spell on herself, as her body was healed from all injuries and burn marks done by the proton blaster.
Master Ava: Gavin, Skuld. Thank you for showing me the strength of your Hearts. I hope you’ll forgive me for deceiving you, but the Foreteller you fought, the room you were in, were both merely projections.
Skuld: But why? What was the point?
Master Ava: It’s as Ephemer stated in your dream. The world will soon end. But if all wielders disappear along with it, there will be no one left to drive away the ensuing darkness. So we must prevent this at all costs.
Master Ava walked forward, passing by Chirithy, Skuld, and Gavin.
Master Ava: My role in all of this is to gather wielders with great potential, regardless of their Unions. They must survive for the world after.
Chirithy: The world after…?
Skuld: This is all so- I-I don’t understand. So what happened to Ephemer?
Master Ava: Ephemer must’ve caught wind of the fact that there was more to everything that what he’d been taught, so he started questioning things. He went looking for the truth because he knew there was one to be found. That’s how I knew he was the one, the one I could count on to lead the Dandelions in my stead.
Chirithy: Dandelions?
Master Ava: They’re a special group of Keyblade wielders that will remain after the rest of us are gone. It was my role to put the Dandelions together. But I have to be there when the inevitable events unfold, so I need someone to replace me when I’m gone. And I chose Ephemer. He accepted, and now he’s far away from here, waiting.
Skuld: So then… he’s all right?
Master Ava: Yes, he’s fine. However, this world is not. There is a wielder who has been corrupted, and the Chirithy you saw earlier is proof of that. But I want the world to come to be filled with light. That’s why only wielders with a strong resistance to darkness are chosen as Dandelions. So I ask both of you: Will you join us?
Hearing this question surprised Gavin and Skuld. They were chosen to become Dandelions if they were to accept. Skuld didn’t think twice, and nodded her head yes.
Skuld: Of course, Master Ava. Thank you.
However, when it came to Gavin, he still didn’t give his answer.
Skuld: Gavin?
Gavin: What’ll happen to the others? The ones who aren’t chosen?
Master Ava: They will have no choice but to fight in the Keyblade War.
Skuld: The Keyblade War…?
Master Ava: I’m afraid it’s inevitable.
Gavin: May I take some time to think about my decision?
Hearing Gavin’s answer took Skuld by surprise.
Skuld: Gavin!
Master Ava: Of course, take all of the time you need. This decision is yours to make, and you should do what feels right. I just ask that you two keep this to yourselves. I’m afraid the future is a very…sensitive subject.
Gavin and Skuld nodded their heads in agreement, as they departed ways. That was until they heard Master Ava speak out.
Master Ava: Before I forget. Gavin, are you able to promise me one thing?
Gavin: What is it?
Master Ava: Please. For the love of everything that is dear. Don’t use that weapon you have strapped to your back ever again. That is way too dangerous to be used against another living being.
Gavin: …I’ll keep that in mind.
Master Ava left after hearing Gavin’s answer, as Gavin Skuld, and Chirithy made their way out of the Underground Waterways. When they got out, they went back to the same spot they met, the Fountain Square. When they got to the fountain, Gavin, Skuld, and Chirithy were sitting down at the ledge of the fountain.
Chirithy: Gavin, what’s holding you back from joining the Dandelions? You’d get to see Ephemer again!
Gavin: Ephemer’s my friend, and he’s important to me. But so is everyone else who is in the party I am in, and I can’t just abandon them.
Chirithy: I understand.
Skuld: Can I share a story?
Gavin nodded yes to Skuld, telling her to go ahead.
Skuld: When I became a Keyblade wielder, I was so excited. I even made my own party, but no one wanted to join it. Finally, after what seemed like ages, Ephemer did. For a long time, it was just the two of us. But as time passed, others joined us, and we spent all our time gathering as much Lux as possible. With our busy schedules, Ephemer and I spoke less and less, until one day he turned to me and said, “Skuld, you’ll be all right on your own now.” And then he left. I continued to collect Lux with my party members, but I guess people started to lose interest. One by one they left, until one day, it was just me again. And you know what? Ephemer was right. I WAS fine on my own. I never forgot about him, though. And I know he never forgot about me either because he led me to you. You helped me see so much. Thanks, Gavin. Now I just have to thank Ephemer, and the only way to do that is to join the Dandelions.
Gavin nodded his head in agreement, as Skuld got up from the fountain ledge.
Skuld: Thanks. For everything.
Skuld raised her right hand out, as Gavin did the same, and they both shook hands.
The light faded from the sheet of paper, as Gavin came back to his senses. But when he came back to his senses, he felt exhausted. Gavin looked to his left, and saw Len, who looked just as exhausted as he was. It may have only been 1 page, but it felt like the longest memory they have seen out of all the pages they looked at. The page then disappeared into the book, becoming another addition to the flock of pages contained within.
Gavin: I think we should take a few minutes to rest, before we go for the next page.
Len: I agree. That was literally a lot for my brain to take in.
Squeel: Are you two okay?
Gavin and Len turned around to see Squeel, who looked concerned seeing both of them exhausted.
Gavin: We’ll be fine. That page…was just a lot to take in.
Len: It was. And I will say this now. If I wasn’t so tired right now, I would smack you really hard.
Gavin: What did I do?
Len: What did you do? You ended up challenging your Union Leader! Again! And to top it all off, you used that device you currently have strapped to your back!
Gavin: Right… well at least I now know what happens if it’s used against a person instead of a ghost.
Len: She suffered burns in the 2nd and 3rd degree. I say using that on her was a bit much!
Gavin: She survived in the end, didn’t she? As for those burns, she healed herself. So, it was all good in the end.
Len: You really don’t see the bigger picture. Do you. There was a reason why she said never to use it again.
Gavin: I didn’t think it would be that powerful that it would take her down.
Len: That’s not why she said to never use it again! What would happen if you used that against someone who wasn’t a Foreteller!? The only thing you would do is literally blast a hole right through someone!
After a few minutes of thinking, everything clicked together for Gavin.
Gavin: Oh… yeah that would be bad. Especially if it was a party member.
Len: It took you that long to connect it together!?
Gavin: Cut me some slack! I am not the brightest colour in the crayon box as others would say!
Squeel: Will you two stop yelling at each other!?
Gavin and Len turned to Squeel, who had their attention almost immediately.
Squeel: Look. I don’t know what you two saw. But that is all in the past. But if Gavin did what he did, there must have been a reason why he would resort to doing it. Len, if you were in Gavin’s place at that time
when he resorted to using that device he had, would you have done the same and used it?
Len thought back to the situation Gavin was in; being confronted by your leader, telling you that the friend you cared for dearly was killed by their hands, and no way to get out of there except by fighting.
Len: I… I guess I was never cornered into a situation like that before…
Squeel: And Gavin, if what Len said was true, you have to understand what she is trying to tell you. If that device is truly that dangerous, then it means it was not meant to be used against anybody but for it’s intended purpose. Not to be used as a weapon of mass destruction.
Gavin thought about what Squeel said, and she was right. He was given the proton pack to protect people from the paranormal and ghosts. Not to be used against the very people it was meant to protect.
Gavin: I’m sorry… I’m sorry that I was reckless. I just… I just felt so angry when she said the Ephemer was killed. But you are right. This isn’t meant to be used against another human being.
Len: Well what happened has happened. We can only keep going forward.
Gavin: Yeah. You’re right. And I think it’s time that we checked out the next page.
Len: Ready when you are.
Gavin and Len took out the next piece of paper that was glowing and examined it. The page glowed brighter, as their senses went blank again.

Len: Gavin!

He almost has all of his memories, so it's understandable that the last ones would be really big. As for how things are going, he just went up against his own Union Leader, and fought her. That is saying a lot. As for what lies ahead, you'll just have to wait and see :) .
