Very great, I hope one of these days I can get nearly as good as you on Photoshop. I'm just a colorist but trying my hardest to get overly better.

Layers!! Take full advantage of them, they are a colorist's best friend. :)

Mmmm I'll try that next time I try to keep it too one layer per color, so like all the blue is done on one layer, all things for the red with shading is done on that one red layer.

Curious how many layers do you think you usually use in one image like this?

Hmm, looks like about 20 at a glance. That's not even that many, I've painted elaborate stuff with 60+ layers before! That got a little insane. Just make sure to label them well (ie "moon reflection on water" rather than just Layer47)!
