The vid-quality was subpar to most screens that Markus could use, but man the viewing environment was second to none. Well, that isn't entirely true. Conventionally, the inside of a quarian's mouth was a terrible movie theater. Everything was slimy within it and often there were food bits lying about making for nasty scenery. There were tons of things to obstruct the view like teeth, lips, tongue, and even uvula on occasion. Though for the latter, usually Markus was on his way down the gullet anyways. Not to mention the smell; the quarian's inability to access their own mouths made dental care a rather difficult task. The stale air of the suit's environment didn't help and neither did the sour scents of digestion far below, as Cal's stomach would process various foods, and often people.
More than once, Markus would divert his attention from the vid on the visor to glance down at the gullet below, gurgling out as it processed willing humans, just like Markus. For anyone other than him, passing through Cali'Bahn's visor was certain death, a fate of nutrients and calories to blend in with the hundreds who perished within the quarian as well. Despite having a stronger immune system than most quarians, Cal would not normally risk illness for a scrap of food to survive. But Markus was different, a close friend and someone Cal could trust to observe proper decontamination protocols, especially when he wanted to use Cal's body for a safe retreat from the world.
This was one such occasion. After having dinner with the big quarian, Markus had Cal slip him into the mask to be swished about inside of his slimy blue maw while they debated on what vid they were going to watch once they arrived at Cal's apartment. They eventually decided on something fun involving super heroes. Chaotic action and adventure was tinted green, feeding muffled audio through Cal's helmet speakers to Markus. Every few minutes, the maw would close, lather the moist environment with more saliva and toss the human about with it. The occasional gush of graxin-flavored drinks would emerge through a straw that peeked through pursed lips, and Markus would be tucked away into the cheek to prevent him from joining Cal's dinner. Each time, Markus would ponder the group of human lives being slowly ended below (if they weren't dead and digested already). How easily Cal could have sent Markus down there and made him just another afterthought while Cal enjoyed a benign weekend vid.
Markus' attention was drawn back to the vid, or a lack thereof, when he noticed the maw grow darker. He looked out to the lips, vanishing quickly behind a wall of teeth as dramatic music echoed out. As it crescendoed, Markus giggled, clearly the tension was rising and Cal couldn't help but grit his teeth. He was thankful he wasn't laying back on the molars this time; he'd had a few close calls in the past. Markus reached up and gave the palette a firm pound to remind the alien of his presence, barely an impact that could be felt by the colossal alien around him.
"Hm? Oh sorry!" Cal's lips, teeth, and tongue all flexed in a flurry, disorienting Markus with each word before the maw opened again, just in time for Markus to see the hero of the vid deliver a devastating finishing blow to the villain. Cal let out a sigh of relief around Markus, the lips curling up in an open-maw smile, and a gust of happy air laden with Cal's breath flowing through and around the human within. Markus chuckled, nuzzling against the tip of the tongue. Truth be told, he wasn't all that invested in the movie, too distracted by the constantly changing cramped chamber of Cal's mouth.
Again, conventionally a terrible viewing experience, but Markus wouldn't trade it for the finest theater on Thessia, or the Citadel... Maybe Palaven, but for different reasons entirely.
As the vid scrolled, Cal let out a satisfied, happy sigh, the tongue surging downward and the throat gaping behind Markus in a threatening, almost ominous manner. The warm comforting breath conveyed other emotions though. "Ah... that was a good one! Perfect way to cap off the evening."
"The back of your canines were my favorite scene of the film." Markus remarked in a playful way, nuzzling his face against the tip of the tongue. Cal finally closed his mouth properly and chuckled with Markus, squishing the human about and using his solid body to suckle on, and break up the stagnant saliva within his maw. The human laughed and continued once the maw calmed down. "It's funny to watch your teeth come together, sometimes it's like you're squishing the bad guy's head with them."
Cal laughed and gave a few playful chomps to the air, making goofy noises before suckling on Markus' delightful human flesh again. "So Markus, how did you wanna end this evening? You can sleep in my mouth, but I think everyone I ate has moved along down there. Might be a little noisy in my intestines though..."
"That's hardly a detraction." The little fellow chuckled, turning around and crawling along the tongue to glance deeper into the quarian's vast body. Markus had been the only person to ever survive going down there, and he's repeated the feat more times than either of them would bother to count throughout his friendship with Cal. He had to admit, after such a lovely evening, the thought of once again tempting both fate and himself in that fleshy blue pit seemed very enticing. "Let's change the scenery. Eat me up big guy! ... Oh and can I ask that you don't- woah!"
Cal chuckled, feeling Markus lay out on his tongue, spreading about as he rolled the human around to take in one last taste, interrupting him. He stuffed Markus once more into his cheek to speak, partially submerging the human in a pool of saliva in the fleshy pocket. "Don't worry Markus, you surviving these visits is expected. You'll need to ask me to kill you, not the other way around. Though the option always available.~"
Cal's tongue slid between the jaws and scooped up Markus out from the cheek once more, easily rolling the human over the back of the tongue and into the embrace of the quarian's throat. With a gulp, the rubbery undersuit of Cal's neck shifted as he swallowed Markus whole, sending the little human down in a tight blue embrace. Cal took delight in the feeling of another human descending into him. As the weight settled down in his stomach, he hummed happily, three fingers from one hand idly tapping at the suit, sending comforting thrums to his latest snack through the flesh.
Inside the stomach, slick blue walls awaited Markus, surging inwards to give him a gentle squeeze. He chuckled and nestled into the folds, each churn feeling powerful enough that if the stomach desired, it would squeeze him to bits. A more primal part of Markus' brain reminded him of the dangers of where he was, the belly of a great beast, which would delight in treating him exactly like the rest of Cal's snacks, who had been processed into slurry that now rested somehwere just beneath Markus. But the tiny human felt nothing but safety in here, as he knew Cal was tapping away on his omnitool, setting his digestive tract to remain idle for the rest of the night. His fears were too overshadowed by the human's love and comfort for the quarian, who emitted the same feelings back. Markus glanced at his omnitool, pondering. He was just a question, a single message away from making those fears a reality, and it really didn't sound that bad. But he smiled, deactivating the interface and instead relaxing. There was always another day he could ask.
With another pat, Cal finished off his evening routines, and made his way to bed, swaying the passenger along for every step...

So this has taken me wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too long to post. Not because I don't like it, far from it actually! This is one of the best pictures I've ever commissioned! I just didn't know how to really do it justice.
So yeah, drawn by the always fantastic VoraciousOllie we have a lovely glimpse inside of Cali'Bahn's maw, a delightful location that I'm sure he'd love to let you tour. Just don't expect to survive if you're not JordilianVector's Markus (featured in the above image), though I assume that's not a problem for a lot of you guys.~
Again, a huuuuge thanks to VoraciousOllie for making this for me. Between the fantastic lips ahead, the ability to see the quarian HUD just outside, another barrier between the prey and normal life. The delightful bleeding of green light in the cool and comforting blue mouth. All of it is amazing stuff, paired with the most adorable quarian you'll ever heckin see!
Another big thanks to JordilianVector for helping me with this idea and serving as the tidbit for this whole thing. Cal's guts wouldn't be as nice if he weren't there to make the scenery as pretty.~
