They did and I fully support their decision. The cards they chose to remove had either blatantly racist implications, or subtle ones, or could be misconstrued as such, and all of those are valid reasons for removal. If anything it was disappointing that it took a massive global movement for them to take a stand on the matter.
You are free to disagree, and you would be wrong, but that's your prerogative. I'm not going to discuss the issue further.

They're more for the context of the cards, not the ability, my dude. Considering "Invoke Prejudice" is pretty self explanatory on title alone, it depicts KKK looking hooded figures and affects cards of a specific color. "Imprison" being a card of a dark skinned person with a black face being detained. I don't know how this isn't obvious to you.
There's more to "Invoke Prejudice" than simply... look, that card has so much so wrong it's a surprise that didn't get something sooner. I'd say it was a surprise it got made but... before MTG hit it off and proved to be sticking around, it was kinda "almost anything goes".
There was an actual card called "Torture" for instance. (Stuck in a set nobody wants to really acknowledge for anything but a single blue card, but it was there.) An entire set had a subplot running through the cards about a rogue army general pillaging and burning towards genocide.
We're not even going into the lovely original "Unholy Strength" artwork. Which I still like, but ... damn.

Wow, the amount of detail here is incredible. I like how you've got the clouds and light surrounding the lead dog's head. The eye-catcher for me is the armour. This is the first time I've seen a drawing like this, it so unique. They all look so heroic. There is a rich vibrance of colour and variety of dogs. These guys look like they would give their all to protect those they love. I've seen that so much in real life. This drawing does them justice and is AMAZING⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I bought some MTG cards the other day, from the current set out, cause I was like, "Man they got some good art on this set." Then I go on FA today....and find most of a favorites posted here. That was a surprise. Seems they did right getting you involved. Made them some sales.
It looks like a 300 version, with this soundtrack it looks much better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQ_g3iXs0KA
