Lemuel wrote:Pivotal in the founding of the Chancel of Whores, this mask belongs to the set of Seven Deadly Veils, rumored to be fragments of a Demon Lord’s own sins made manifest, which now seek vessels to command and corrupt in order to re-unite with their progenitor back in the depths of Hell.
The Facet of Greed in particular suffuses the wearer with the desire to take everything and everyone for themselves.
The Facet of Lust in particular suffuses the wearer with sinful urges to overindulge in pursuits of the flesh.
The Facet of Wrath in particular suffuses the wearer with desires to crush, burn, and obliterate all opposition.
The Facet of Pride in particular suffuses the wearer with the haughty confidence of a supreme being.
The Facet of Sloth in particular suffuses the wearer with comfy, sleepy vibes you can’t help but spread to others.
The Facet of Envy in particular suffuses the wearer with envious urges to take others down a peg.
The Facet of Gluttony in particular suffuses the wearer with unending hunger to consume all that lies before them.
This is another item that was meant to be quick that I overdelivered on. The concept was seven masks, one for each of the deadly sins, that were created demon hydra dragon. I decided that each mask should have it's own unique look, instead of just being a recolor, and I'm actually really pleased with how they came out.
Envy is green with envy, and has it's eyes sewn shut because all it can see is what everyone else has and has been blinded by that desire. Greed is royal purple has eyes wide open to spot every treasure to add to its hoard. Gluttony is orange, which psychologically makes you want to eat, the only mask with a lower jaw, and it's tongue hangs out in eagerness to consume all. Lust is pink, the color of romantic passion, with eyes lidded and flirtatious at all times. Pride is pure gold, with eyes closed because the only thing worth seeing is itself. Sloth is blue, a color of calm, with eyes sunken and lidded as if perpetually groggy. Wrath is red, the color of firey passion and anger, and has slanted brows because all it sees are targets of its ire.
Every time you rest with the mask on, your size increases one step, and memories from the dragon who created them are forced into your mind. if you let this continue for too long, you become a dragon of sin and the mask completely subsumes you, replacing your personality and memories with that of the mask.
It's a little hard to tell on the lines, but the masks are all asymmetrical too. The color stripe is only on one side of the mask. The horns are designed in the shape of their creator's own horns.

About Cursed Cumpendium
Venture to the Sunken Temple, an ancient temple on the border of the Prudelands that is said to house untold wealth and magical treasures that mortal minds can hardly comprehend. The temple has long since been a pilgrimage site of the Prudes, an order of chaste and pure Monks that abhor sex, but recently the temple has been attracting more and more adventurers, much to the prudes' dismay. A small town has formed around the mouth of the temple, catering to the needs of the adventurers and prudes alike as they delve into the sunken temple's depths.
Venture to the Sunken Temple, an ancient temple with glistening alabaster walls and glowing gold inlay. Those afflicted with illness or corruption would come to the ancient prude temple to be cleansed of their ails. Cursed magic items would eventually find their way to be cleansed as well. Prudes would make regular pilgrimage to the temple to cleans themselves of impure desires and bodily corruption.
But that was then.
Now the temple stands as a monument to corruption itself. Prudes that once pilgrimaged to the temple to purify themselves no delve into the depths of the temple to purify the temple itself. Adventurers find themselves drawn to the temple through promises of riches and magic items, and when they return with laden with curses and cursed equipment they can take succor in the small community formed around the temple gates, eager to siphon treasure off of successful adventurers.
Whatever the case, the adventurers are united in their desire to explore ever-deeper to the lowest floors of the temple and discover the source of the corruption that assuredly lies therein. And fuck it, probably.

The original concept was that Satanael created the sin dragons who were then sealed and banished by The Forgotten Kings before somehow ending up in Jizzral and, subsequently, The Sunken Temple.
Though I do like the idea of a hung hydra herm Demon Lord being the source of the masks' creation~.

A question that I have been meaning to ask Min: were these masks created by or from a/the demon hydra dragon?
