When Alfa was invited to have a sleepover in the Plushieverse, he had a decent idea of what to expect. A plush kingdom beneath a massive mountain of oversized pillows with a blanket draped over top was not one of them. And yet, he followed the directions given to him by his friend and found himself in exactly that. After solving some puzzles in a ruined city and going through a tundra of a fake snowed in town, he found himself heading into cavern. Florescent ooze with the texture of plastic poured from cracks like miniature waterfalls, creating large pools that provided natural light in the otherwise dark plush cave. Plastic gemstones glittered along the ceiling like stars in a night sky, and strange glowing flowers and mushrooms dotted the more overgrown areas with a similar eerie hue.
As he walked through the cave, he looked at his phone again, to make sure he was still on the right track.
"...Once you enter Waterfall, keep going through the cave, past the Wishing Room, across the docks, and past the piano. Pick up an umbrella on your way. You'll see me up ahead." he repeats to himself. He hadn't the foggiest what the "Wishing Room" was, but he already crossed the docks and just passed the piano, so he must be heading in the right direction.
Before long, he found a small umbrella bin with a few umbrellas in it, and a sign encouraging him to take one. Taking an umbrella and opening it proved to be smart, as the way ahead was dripping heavily, as if he was walking through light rain. Thankfully, because of the nature of liquids in the Plushieverse, he had no danger of getting wet, but he already had the umbrella, so...
After some more walking, he found a yellow dinosaur-like plush standing under an outcropping of rock and a goat he immediately recognized as his friend Asriel. The dinosaur plush didn't seem to have any arms.
"Hey Asriel. This was quite a journey to make just for a sleepover, don't you think?" Alfa says, rubbing the back of his head and adjusting his grip on the bag on his shoulder. "Why did you say not to bring a sleeping bag, exactly?"
"Hey Alfa! And yeah, but I needed to make sure you'd be tired when you get here! And you'll see~ C'mon, it's just a bit farther!" Asriel says excitedly, quickly getting close to Alfa to stand under the umbrella. "Oh! Alfa, this is Emkay! Or the plush version of him, anyway!"
"Oh, hello Emkay~" Alfa nods to the yellow dino with a small smile as he stands on his other side.
"Hey dude!" Emkay cheerily greets, scooting close too. "C'mon, let's go!"
The trio continue through Waterfall, soon entering a large expanse of the cave system. Alfa was in awe at the sight of the distant city glowing in the darkness. Asriel chuckled as they paused for a moment to admire the view.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" he said with a big smile, "It's like you can reach out and touch it!"
Alfa nodded silently, then continued along the path, up a ledge, and through a garbage dump- for some reason. To be honest, this walk felt even longer than the walk to get here. However, it was soon over as they entered a field full of those strange glowing flowers and there was a little campsite set up with a pair of tents. Alfa frowned at the sight, pausing as the duo continued to the campsite.
"Hey, you didn't say to bring a tent either. I didn't realize we'd be sleeping outside."
"Don't worry, Alfa, we've got you covered! It's the same reason I told you not to bring a sleeping bag!" Asriel said with a smile, then looked to his friend Emkay. "Turn around Emkay!"
Emkay spun around in place and lowered his tail a bit, and Alfa could see a metal tag of a zipper just at the base of his neck. Asriel grabbed it and slowly pulled it down, revealing a soft yellowy interior.
"See? Emkay is a plushsuit! He'll be your sleeping bag tonight!" Asriel grinned at Alfa, who immediately began to blush.
"A-Asriel! Really?!" he stammered, "You seriously made me walk for 2 hours just to find out that you were trying to lure me down here to be inside one of your plush friends?"
"Hey, nobody is going to force you~ You could always share a sleeping bag with me if it makes you more comfortable," Asriel said, lowering his eyelids and smirking.
----
"Are you comfy, dude?" Emkay said, looking down at himself. The plush monster could feel Alfa fidgeting every so often, and it kind of tickled.
"I...I would be if I had any use of my arms, Emkay." Alfa didn't want to sound mad at Emkay, but he wasn't impressed.
"Why do you need arms to sleep?" Emkay chirped in retort with a big grin, "Asriel told me that you liked this kind of thing anyway!"
Alfa sighed. Of course he did. He wasn't really used to Emkay's legs doing the walking, but his padded interior was comfy at least, and the view from behind Emkay's eyes was actually quite pleasant. He was sitting by one of the flowers... an "Echo Flower" as Asriel taught him, and basking in the ambient glow. To be fair, things could've been worse, and plus, Emkay was kind of cute to boot.
"...Alright, it's comfy... Just don't get any ideas." Alfa relented, his cheeks flushing a bit more.
Emkay giggles, then begins to kick his legs idly. "Promise~"
