Love the anatomy and detail, as well as the interesting background despite it being rough.

The contrast between the two pieces is interesting. There, the foreground (and much of the background) is well-lit, while the dragon is much darker, as though a shadow has been cast over it. Here, the light heavily centers on the dragon, almost to the point of glowing, while both the foreground and much of the background are much darker. The previous work almost seems brooding, or at least having a dark mood. This piece seems almost meditative, like someone watching with interest rather than cunning.

I love the yellowness of the scales vs the purple of the shadows. Gives a really nice something to it.
