Fearless Fox Bio
Name: Fearless Fox
Species: Orange fox
Alternate name: Frank Foxworth
Nationality: American
Age immortalized: 30
Former circus occupation: High diver
Second occupation: Competitive diver and swimmer; diving and swimming instructor at Wildcat City's Pool Complex. He also served a stint in the United States Marine Corps.
Circus clothing: Formerly a stereotypical diver's outfit; now just standard swimming trunks used in diving
Second clothing: Swimming trunks for swimming and diving; causal t-shirt and blue jeans or shorts otherwise
Battle Uniform: Traditional form-fitting black and orange uniform, with black cape, gloves, belt, and boots. In the center of his chest is a large blue "F" against a golden star.
Background info: Frank got his nickname "Fearless Fox" when he took the high diving act, for those dives require him to dive from a long way up into a small pool (originally the wooden pool, but sometimes other modern pools today), and to liven things up, sometimes the pool will have a ring of fire around it, extinguished when he hits the water. Frank's nickname could also refer to his successful military career as a U.S. Marine; there, he often (on the battlefield) dove into situations others wouldn't dare to go to. "Some of those things he did I wouldn't even do," Boomcat once said of him, "and the four Purple Hearts and Soldier's Medal that he has won prove it." And indeed, he has those awards. Because of this, once he emerged from the pool at the end of the act, he'd climb out and salute the crowds cheering for him, and march off the stage while the band played the Marines Hymn.
After an honorable discharge, Frank turned to competitive swimming and diving, and won several gold medals in the World Championships from the 5m and 10m platforms, and the 3m springboard. In swimming, he has one silver medal from a 200m backstroke second place, and three bronze medals, but no gold, sadly. The three bronze come from 100m butterfly (which he claims is his worst stroke), and the 200m and 400m individual medley. Rolf hired him to the circus after seeing him win a gold from the 10m platform, and then, as a dare, do a dive from a 20m platform and succeed. (The 20m platform was just for show; it never goes about 10 meters in Olympic competition. High diving as a competitive sport, however, debuted at the 2013 World Aquatics Championships in Barcelona; Frank did not compete in this but was an honored guest.)
Frank spends his time outside the circus teaching youngsters to swim and dive, and occasionally still participates in competitions, more diving than swimming. Some competitions have pitted him against his fellow circus performer Larry the Daring (the nation's top lion swimmer and diver), who also acts as the fill-in diver if he is unable to perform (due to health problems, injury, or a funeral intervention, or whatever it may be).
Upon joining the circus, he came up with the idea of a "pool under the pool" (an underground pool hiding the small wooden pool he leaps into) as a possible idea of minimizing injuries, assuming he doesn't miss the pool (and he fortunately never has). His circus dives are classified as a "smooth version of what would otherwise be a total belly flop," and to add to the variety elements of the circus, he was able to show some of the fancier dives (of which a bigger pool is used). Other acts were mock competitions between him and Larry, of which were more so comedy than actual diving (because of the humorous things the live announcers say), hence why he always won the competitions (even though sometimes Larry did much harder dives).
UPDATE: Frank later dove into a standard pool used for diving as part of the circus, replacing his "pool under the pool" idea, as a representation of catching up with the modern times.
When the circus came to an end, Frank's final dive as Fearless Fox was done during the big finale show in Washington, D.C. Because the tune played was always "The Marines' Hymn," the U.S. Marine Band (also known as "The President's Own") joined the circus band in performing the song. Other military premier ensembles (such as the West Point Band) also attended the show, and it made for a record number of musicians all playing the national anthem at the same time when the show was finally over.
Since CNG had previously gotten to the circus performers, thus granting them their superpowers, the main performers are now serving as superheroes. While some performers chose different names to adapt to, Frank went ahead and continued to call himself "Fearless Fox."
Superpowers: Flight, super strength, X-ray vision, super hearing, super smell.
Arch-nemesis: all enemies of the G-52s and their allies
Personal quotes: "I just love the water. That's all I can say about crediting my love for swimming and diving." (during an interview)
"Have I lost to Larry? I have, so I'd say we're pretty much balanced. The fact I always beat him in those comedy diving sketches is a satirical reference to the fact I've won more gold medals than he has, because the comedy element is me somehow getting higher scores than him, even though he sometimes does harder dives. In real competitions, there's no way he'd lose with some of those." (during an interview)

Since the Circus of the Superstars went out of business, and yet CNG has given all the circus performers superpowers, the performers are in the process of becoming G-52s, and so I am updating some of the bio information on these performers.
