First and foremost, I kinda was interested in the Protogens as a passing curiosity. I didn't know much about them (still don't) but I thought they were kinda neat. So after much time having passed someone drew a Protogen that I actually really liked. I adopted it from the guy and made him my own. I know lore wise that they are more deep space exploration geared and more cutesy looking...which is all well and good for exploration based ones.
Enter the Combat Protogen (probably not orginal of course), a Protogen thats geared mostly for, you guessed it, COMBAT! They happen to have most of the requisite Protogen mechanics...they are cyborgs still, have inter-changeable limbs and tails. They also have back ports that can accommodate numerous external movement enhancers such as jetpacks, thrusters, underwater impeller drive, etc. They usually choose some kind of weapon to master in and learn by both being programmed with the knowledge and from real world experience. Some utilize shields and some don't.
Helios here is a Combat Protogen who has a very fiery personality, and a fiery sword to boot. He's all about speed and agility in combat. He fills a "fighter jet" role whenever he takes to the battlefield. Ideally he works with less combat ready explorers as security or, when he is with his brother (who will be posted in the future), can function in a duel role of protector and adventurer.
Unlike most Protogens however, Helios has a difficult time adapting to switching out his limbs. This is not due to a coding error or even a glitch in his nanites coding...its more a mental block. When and if he switches to another limb that is of a different configuration then what he normally uses he has to take a bit more time to adapt to it then most. He has grown so used to what he normally considers his limbs that it has imprinted itself on his mind. Any limb that is different from it structurally causes the mental block to kick in. That being said he can pick up a new limb if one is damaged and as long as its a copy of the old one he can attach it and use it with no issue. He keeps several spares.
Being a flyboy though, one thing that he takes an absolute obsessive interest in is his jet-pack. That attachment is foremost in his mind...and he feels completely worthless and naked without it on his body. If something blasted his arm or even a leg...it would be an annoyance but overall he wouldn't care to much. If something were to even scratch his jet-pack though, his wrath would be terrible and absolute. So yeah...hes a bit protective of it and when he HAS to remove it to sleep or repair himself, he polishes it to a gleaming shine and regularly does maintenance to keep in in top working condition. Of course in the heat of battle one tries to protect oneself at all costs but damage does occur so he just uses that anger to push himself harder, fly faster, and fight better in order to minimize the damage to it.
Helios derives energy like most Protogen do. He can eat food for his biological systems. He sleeps inside a specialty capsule that provides energy to his cybernetic systems. However, in a pinch he actually can absorb energy from the sun and with a few modifications is perfectly capable of space travel (planetary not interstellar) and when in space is able to collect the solar wind particles and derive power and sustenance from them as well. If he is close to a star though, he can literally fly into its corona and "scoop" the plasma up to power himself. After he does this however he is hyper charged and extremely dangerous in a fight even more so then normal.
Helios specializes in Sword and Shield combat, and utilizes both with equal measure of ferocity. He is not one to shy from slicing something to ribbons or bashing it with his shield or even cutting it with both as his shield edges are angular and sharp besides. Helios can also of course use it in defense...especially against the larger cannons that fire out death beams. His shield is capable of deflecting said beams protecting him and whoever is behind him. However, its the smaller and more quick firing blasts that tend to get through and do damage to him. Helios also, like fire, tends to get carried away and cant focus on multiple vectors of incoming small fire. He rages like an inferno quickly consuming his targets with his ferocity but does not pay attention to what might be sneaking up on him. That part however, he leaves to his brother who is more than capable of protecting him on that front.

uh protogen , I wouldn't imagine you will come with one of those things ... (sorry not my thing as well those things synths that are nothing but the head of the first aibo with a reptile body) ...
but I do like the metallic briefs as usual is the best

I dont mind them...but I had to add my looks to them and not the overly "cutesy" body most of them have...and the overly large legs.
Hence my combat protogen doesn't have those.

not "cute" those things are merely a random dog with a mask on it ... but yeah your's at least looks like a robot "kinda" but I do like the metallic briefs is the best in the picture
They actually aren't dogs. I realize though its not for everyone but I like mine. :)
for the goods at least he looks kinda robotic and thats good enough I guess
Oooh, very neat design! I see you managed to incorporate the belt and undies in his look as well! The artist did a nice job! ;3
Yep! He didn't have a belt at first but the artist added it and I think it ties the look together so was quite happy with it.
