My homage to Azure Lane's Akagi. Basically a version of Akagi that is extant in the Krissyverse, an officer in the JMSDF, and of course, found her way into becoming a werekitsune after being bitten/otherwise infected. Of course the original version of Akagi remains- this would be more of my own fanfiction interpretation, really using a lot of her looks but with her own personality, history and story arc to complement many of the things that I love. Which, if you've been a fan of my commissions and stories for a while now, you can probably guess what that entails.
This wonderful woman's name is Akane Oshiro, an officer serving aboard one of the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force's helicopter destroyers. Follow along to learn more about her story and to get greater insights into her personality. And if you're wondering, she is indeed related to my other foxes, who happen to be frolicking about in Japan. A pack of foxes... or whatever you call a group of foxes. Is there a name for that? If there is leave it in the comments please.
Of course, the original Akagi belongs to her owners, whomever owns Azure Lane and the original artists.
Akane Oshiro belongs to me, kooncds

"Akake was once a respectable part of the engineering department in the illustrious ship "Kaga". Liked by her crew, and with a clean record, she had served in Somalia, in anti-piracy operations to great sucess...."
Was she hereditary nobility? Because that's a Gensui badge was only worn by grand admirals, a title/rank that was almost exclusively given to princes and other hereditary nobility. It was only awarded to 3 men during WW2 and only 1, Nagano, survived the war (barely), and it hasn't existed as a rank since the end of WW2. I guess props for being aware it exists? I think that if a JMSDF officer wore a repro, he'd be told to take it off, because Japan has worked hard to distance it's current military from the imperial military.
In this case it's probably just unintentional, I was using references for JMSDF Officer's dress uniforms and that was utilized for this. So really if that was on the reference I have no idea why it would have been.
