Preview of sorts of a brief animation I've been working on this past week. It's not going to be anything flashy like fancy movement or internal shots or etc sadly, since my skill with actual animation is still very bare-bones. The final animation will include the bulge settling into the stomach and the snake slithering away.
I have no idea what's up with the faceted look on the bulge's surface by the way; nothing I did seemed to make it go away :/
Getting better animation (especially on the snake) won't happen for a long while sadly, since again my knowledge of animation is very basic and right now I'm brute-forcing my way through this, manually keyframing everything and moving every joint one by one. So it'll have to wait until I'm more comfortable with animation and have a better rig setup on the snake itself.
Model's from voreville as mentioned before.
Tools used for this:
--Cinema 4D, Cycles4D, DaVinci Resolve

Very beautiful and smooth animation, love the sounds too ^_^
I spent a lot of today messing with it in Resolve to try and get the sounds just right ;v;
I just wish I could have had some snake movement in it too, but with the way I had things set up that just wasn't practical. Someday I might try out a "New and improved!" version of it though :D

Its a learning experience to be certain! Keep up the awesome work, and stay safe out there ^^
Is there any chance that a video version could be put up, since flash is deprecated?
FA doesn't allow videos from what I can tell, just SWF. Unless you mean "put it up elsewhere", in which case I'll be doing so tomorrow once I figure out where I can put it. I don't want it on my YouTube for various reasons (Even under Unlisted) but maybe GoogleDrive or Vimeo ..
Thanks! In the (distant?) future I'd like to make it a bit more fluid, with some more movement and stuff (Right now the snake doesn't even move, other than opening its jaws). Right now doing so is not really practical, but someday there'll (probably?) be a NEW AND IMPROVED! version xD
maybe ;v;
maybe ;v;
Good framing is all a piece like this needs, and you've already got it, I say! Simply adore that swallowing shot - it's miles ahead of many other animations that "segment" the bulges on the way down.
I think part of the reason the bulges are segmented is because of the tools used, rather than by intentional design. That being said, the bulge here has this awful faceted look on the surface that I just can't make go away xvx

When I get that motivation goin', an the spark is there - I can work fast!
...In this case though it was mostly because the plan I had actually worked out on the first try! But it still took two days of tinkering (and an ongoing 23+ hour render for a ten second clip ugh...) to get it out
It's just.... Normally I *don't* have that spark of motivation :/

Yeah, though I doubt I'll be able to keep up doing stuff like this v_v
Gonna disappoint so many people I'm sure, but I'm good at disappointing people xD
