This is a well preserved station from the Samuel Insull era of Chicagoland electric utilities. Spanish Revival style depots like this one were common on Insull interurbans, as he attempted to modernize the electric railways (and monopolize the utilities) in the Roaring 20s. This station here at Beverly Shores is just one of two stations left throughout the Chicagoland area. This stop was a spontaneous stop as we tried to get one last photo of freight. But alas, it never came, and nightwolf6920 and I drove back to Hammond so I could drive home. it was almost midnight when this shot was taken.
And thus concludes the trip and the photo set. I have others from the same locations, but I won't upload them here. perhaps I may upload them on a later date.
