Done for the Wrath of Dragons board game, many years ago. One of my favorite freelance projects so far! The aspect ratio was pretty different, and I remember having a good time sketching to figure out how to fit each dragon in.
One of the best (and worst?) things about older artwork is seeing it years later and knowing exactly what you'd want to do to improve it — a bit more figure/bg contrast and storytelling elements can go a long way. I'd love to revisit this one later, when I have a chance.
That being said, I really enjoyed this project and still like the painting enough share it here! Hope you guys enjoy, too.

This is gorgeous. I love the bright colors matching so well with the background, feels like it really fits in a sunny/canyon sort of environment. Really pretty!
Thank you so much! Deserts have such beautiful rock formations/colors... definitely have to revisit it sometime! :D
