She knows about the R&D stuff. She could help.
Also, anyone else getting the feeling Tessa could work as Stars ‘Mother?’

This is why,you should be cocky once your plan has fully completed or your whole plan will fall into shambles.Another thing, don't reveal your secret plan.
In other words, please follow the principles surrounding Evil Overlord Rule #6 and #7. However, I do think Evil Overlord rule #43 also applies in this situation.
Aye, there is. Peter's Evil Overlord List. For all would be evil overlords who don't want to find themselves in a prison cell, the rules in there are a pretty good place to start.
Thank's, I'll make sure to tell the corona virus about these! 😈
so happy you posted this on my Birthday 😊 hope you’ve been well and if you want to talk I’ll be here to talk with you.
But still, she deserves it(I know ‘she’ is not a girl but I don’t care he is a girl from now on in my angle)
There is a reason why villains are never successful, they are way to cocky for their own good
You can't really tell, she doesn't have any sort of insignia on her shoulder (Marellis does though, looks like he's a sergeant)
Maybe at some point it'll be clarified tho
Maybe at some point it'll be clarified tho
I think the Hat colors supposed to be what her rank is and what she does, you know like a green beret.
Well I do believe that’s the SAS beret that’s not a unit you want to mess with no matter the rank.
This was the perfect trap. And we got a tiny bit of history on Tessa too.
Ah....I love it when the evil get their comuppance.
does that make me a weird person or something. Seeing evil men get their commuppance, when in reality I can't say what I truly want to happen to them, I truly want them to be regressed by to childhood for oh...say 10 decades, they remain a child around 5 for 100 years and be reraised by a loving and caring adult so that when they're permitted to grow up again, they won't turn into the evil person they were in their previous life.
Heh...yeah that idea is too fantasy, so settling for watching the evil men be punished is the next best thing XD.
Star, am I a weird person for thinking such?

I wouldn't say you're weird person I mean everyone has fantasies about revenge or bad people getting punished for their deeds it's Human Nature and yours doesn't seem all that bad. Although someone could raise some moral or ethical thing about it and what ifs and how far it should be taken, but that's for someone else to debate. So in conclusion I wound not say you're a weird person.
Everyone has some tendencies of schadenfrude. It happens. Just don't let it consume you.
Nah. It's just a type of venting really, mixed in with some indulgent fantasizing.
Plus honestly that's probably more humane then many real-world punishments.

She's in the SAS. Though technicaly Star doesnt know this as she doesnt have the visual clue only what Tessa is saying in the dialogue but we as the viewer get that info. The colour of her beret basically gives the game away
I figured she was SAS. Yeah, those are the guys in the British military that you don’t want to mess with.
I'm not sure how it is in the uk but in the us rank holds significant importance on conversations. People normally don't have casual conversation with those of higher rank while working with out using honorifics. Given how casual they seem to be having a conversation while one is is uniform I would assume them to have equal or similar rank. Or at least Tessa sees him as an equal and doesn't use the yes sir no sir or yes rank no rank introductions
Going from 'Oh shit....' to 'Yay!' in a few words, not knowing what is waiting for him. Love it~
This is not okay? Like, I can't stress enough how depicting the solution to "abuser repeatedly violating someone's boundaries" as "abduction under false pretenses and non-consensual kink activity" is an incredibly fucked up message to send to your audience.
In fairness I never said it was ok. I'm very much a person who believes two wrongs dont make a right.
Sometimes you need to beat fire with fire right? Also... blackmailing and bullying(thats what i see on this charity thing) are things that can really break someone mentally. And as long as Tessa doesn't hurt him and just lets him taste his own medicien everything is fine i guess even if it is non-con. He basically asked for that with his actions.
No. This kind of comment perfectly illustrates the point I'm trying to make to Star. The answer to abusers is not - and I cannot believe I have to write this - "abduction and sexual assault."
there are different ways of dealing with things, some right others not so right in this fantasy setting its exploring a route that...lets face it, just wouldnt happen in reality. I think its more to do with the fact my own abuser walked away scot free, so the abuser in the comic is getting a more...extreme version of karma.
Bluntly, you're not doing a very good job communicating that, because literally the first response to your reply here is Darmon saying "he basically asked for that," and I've seen dozens of similar comments since this plot point came up.
I have had issues with Shine in the past, but this is the biggest, and it is at the very least a serious messaging problem.

How people want to interpret the comic is entirely up to them, some folk have had really wild views and truthfully its quite interesting to read the various comments and ideas people come up with. Star herself in the comic as seen in the previous few pages...is clearly not happy with whats going on. She's the character that relfects me and has my reactions so...yeah she's very much in a two wrongs dont make a right...Tessa has different ideas.
I mean, yeah. Star is like "No. Hold up. I don't like this at all." And even though Tessa is telling her the story of how he came to be there, it doesn't mean Star is going to be "Oh, well, OK since you've explained things."
The logic is weird because it's a story, not a parable for basing your life on. I mean...I have a character who is a horrific monster who likes murdering people but if I used them in a story/comic I wouldn't be teaching people to murderize people. Because tbh if all it takes to push you over the edge into homicide (or even kidnapping people and putting them in baby clothes) is seeing it in a comic, you have bigger issues to begin with.

To be on the safe side Star you should probably put a disclaimer at the bottom in the text.
From what I've seen, Star is more upset that it made her personally feel bad (on account of using her kink as a punishment for abuse and the assumption that Martin broke a promise), rather than "holy shit you guys did actual crimes" or "I don't think this is a healthy way to deal with the situation." Heck, in 365 she literally points out that one of the situations she had envisaged for getting out of this issue was a mutual blackmail situation.
Yeah. To be fair, while I've been reading, I've been thinking this too. In the story, which we have yet to see the rest of, the author does have space to adjust to criticism later, like make it more clear through dialogue or character actions that she doesn't find it okay if the author wants to make that point-- she done that before. Ultimately it's Star's story to tell, right.
The comments appearing over and over again about how the Marellis character "has it coming" are way ickier to me. As someone who's also a survivor of sexual assault and has also entertained revenge fantasies, I feel a little uncomfortable.
"It's just a comic, it's just a story" isn't the defense some people think it is. Like, yes, it being a story means the creator decides to put stuff in there. Nothing happens without the (digital) pen being put to tablet, y'know?
People raise criticism about stuff that bothers them a) because they care about the issue, b) because they like the work and c) they assume the creator/author etc will care and want to fix or at least consider those issues, too.
Folks who were agreeing with Star's posts months ago about trying to be more empathetic are being derisive instead of trying to see where someone could be coming from, or why. THe "it's just a story" comes with undertones of "why do you care when this doesn't bother -me-" when, well... maybe folks would do better to reflect on that question, actually!

It is still fiction. People who can't part fiction from reality shouldn't read an story like this. There are way more comics and artworks that are way way way more difficult. I am sure everyone knows this is something you shouldn't do in reallife.
I agree with Darmon, and let’s face it on an actual military base none of this would happen cause the higher ups would blow a fuse.
I mean on the one hand I see where you're coming from on this is not right. But on the other hand this is just fiction and this is a way for Star to relieve some of her stress and besides I have seen worse Revenge fantasies to the point where I'm like yeah that's not possible doesn't work or yeah you're crazy probably the best example would be the movie perfection. But anyway I would probably just say your piece and don't make anything big of it, if this is not your thing that's all right, but again this is just fiction and there are a lot of people who can separate fiction from reality.
" But on the other hand this is just fiction"
Believe it or not, fiction is capable of shaping peoples' worldview, especially in relation to situations they have not been in before or given much thought to. I have already pointed out - and the responses I've gotten to this post are kind of proving my point here - that bad messaging can have bad results.

Well you are right about that any type of fiction ever be it a comic, a book or Manga can shape who a person can be. But at the same time if a person can't separate fiction from reality then that's a whole other problem. I mean I love horror movies but that does not mean I'm going to wear a hockey mask and stalking horny people in a forest. I think everyone here or is coming here is smart enough to separate fact from fiction.
Maybe Star could add a disclaimer at the bottom, but it is her comic and if you don't really like it fine that's your opinion and you're entirely welcome to it no one's forcing you watch this and I don't want to cause a fight or anything I'm just stating my opinion.

That's not what the problem is. The effect fiction has upon events is not necessarily inspiring specific actions but shaping the values people hold. The issue with the slasher movies of the late 70s and early 80s was never that they were going to inspire a wave of serial killings, it's that they portrayed youthful sexuality (and particularly youthful feminine sexuality) as - if not necessarily deserving of death - somehow partly responsible in bringing about its own punishment. It was always the sexually promiscuous ones that died first. Cabin in the Woods, which parodied the whole genre, literally called this out as a plot point.
The way that the comments section of Shine's last few pages has been chock full of people saying "yes, this is what he deserves" doesn't worry me because I feel like a bunch of people are actually going to abduct and sexually assault abusers, or even that people think it would be a reasonable way to deal with them. It worries me because I feel people have been put in the mindset of more highly valuing the personal punishment of abusers, instead of protecting communities from them and healing the harm they've done to their victims.

Yeah.... because it's a comic. If it were something based on reality, it would be handled by the proper authorities, for sure.
Everyone here is saying Marellis deserves this, and he does. But he's a fictional character in a fictional world. So we can point and laugh at him all we want with no consequence.
Were this situation in the real world, Marellis would be taking a very, very big risk blackmailing Star, as his fall would be much harder. All said and done, her secret would be exposed and she would likely be discharged from the military, but Marellis would be arrested. Not a good trade just to make Star miserable, really.

It may surprise you to know that no piece of fiction is too trivial or too small to affect the way people think.
Would it make you feel better to know that the person of whom Morellis is based on, does actually consent to his character being used in this way to help tell the story? Everyone here knows that he's really a nice guy IRL. (Though, some people do have to be reminded from time to time that his character is just playing a role.)
Don't get me wrong, I do get where you (and others) are coming from, but I have to also agree with the opposing side when saying "this is just a story". Believe me, I know a ton of people who are completely incapable to distinguish fact from fiction or would be inspired to do some very radical things. I actually had a fanfiction image made as a response to a scene in Star's other comic for something that truly did/does piss(ed) me off. However, that's something that I'd NEVER do IRL.
Also (if this does happen), the person who does this sort of thing would more than likely do all on their own, with or without the comic. The issue is sort of like "we blame violent video games for school shootings". Any moron knows that shooting and killing people is wrong, but so is blaming a video game for it.
I actually do know of other comics where I read quite a few really awful things coming from the audience. Most of which is way worse than what's going on in the story(s), let alone something that these (particular) characters deserve. I don't blame the comic(s) for their sick minds. They're the ones who… what's the word? "Superimpose" or "inject" their own problems upon the person(s) in the comic(s).

I agree with kman12345, you are taking this a bit to seriously.
It's a story, a piece of fiction, meant for enjoyment and amusement. That should be enough of a reason to not get so worked up about it. And if your reason is that it may affect someone negatively, boy do I have news for you. Literally everything can affect people in a million different, unknowable ways. Saying to someone that they are a "stupid poopoo head" at the wrong time can make them a recluse who lives in a dark attic and only eats uncooked pasta for the rest of their lives. You can't babyproof the entire dang world to prevent that someday somewhere someone is going to get upset by whatever.
Besides, Star is hardly advocating that this is the proper/right way to do things. In fact, in the comments that *you* have replied to, she has stated that she very much doesn't think that this is right. So give it a rest.

Not all fiction is meant to be a lesson on the law and/or morality. Other works of fiction often show good guys committing crimes, even heinous war crimes (I'm looking at you Star Wars!) in some cases, but are written with the expectation that the audience is smart enough to recognize that for themselves and not repeat what they've seen in real life.
Or like any film where the main characters family member is killed by some bad guy...does the main character go to the cops..nope..generally its a must hunt down the bad guy and avenge LOL
yeah in fairness id probably go all john wick if someone touched my pet LOL....maybe not, but I would be very very wanting to
Yeah, sometimes you just want to see something that is immoral. Sometimes that's John Wick kicking the crap out of people, sometimes that's Jason Voorhees killing fools, and sometimes it's watching Tessa get revenge for Star.
Also, and this is just my opinion, it's not Star's job to "censor" her work just because it might be "problematic". It's the duty of the reader to police their own internet experience, not the creator. But that's just my opinion, and I can understand why others might disagree.

okay that was probably a very good joke and I wish there was a link button.
Well in anime or manga,is usually a male who surprisingly looks and acts feminine. An example to this is Hideyoshi from Baka and Test or an inverse would be Sailor Uranus from Sailor Moon.
Ok, trans person here.
Hey, you probably aren't aware of this, but trap used this was started on 4chan, and is used as a transphobic slur, with the idea that the idea that trans women are supposed to really cis gay men who’s reason for transitioning is to lure unsuspecting cishet men into sex. Thereby ‘trapping’ them.
This doesn't make you a bad person for using a term that you haven't thought of... but just as it's pointed out upthread that the popular media and attitudes therein can have an affect on people in general, so does this attitude. Like, "oh no, the -real man- tricked me into being attracted to them because they are more womanly" is more than just some musty comedy trope. It's been an actual defense in the US for excusing people from murder. It's called the "gay panic" and "trans panic" defense. It's a defense that is still legal in 38 states, and it was used as recently as 2018 to get someone who killed a guy a lighter sentence. That's just a little over 3 years ago.
I'm not claiming to read your mind, or to see into your heart. I'm just hoping that I can point out something that you were parroting and repeating has some ugly roots and that it is part of an attitude that harms my community to this day, and hope that you reflect on your choices in the future.

I’m pretty sure trap was first used in the Vietnam war not 4chan and was used to give US soldiers STD’s.
Actually, words can have multiple definitions and can change overtime. while it may have started there, the definition that's being used here was the one that was popularized by weebs on 4chan. where it started is kinda irrelevant.
XD Ego is the main cause of vilain's fall XD A mastermind but with not ally like in superheroes movie. Bye bye Sarge Baby Boy y(^w^)y
I am curious about how this can fix the damage already done with that charity.
She can't easily get out of it, and Sarge can't even make a public apologies without everyone asking where that pic was from.
Is stars doom anyway ? (at least it will stop after that)
also don't do this at home kiddo, Tessa is being a bad person with that plan ;) But story are made for this, do thing you couldnt't/wouldn't do IRL.

Simple first he apologizes to people expecting to see her diapered saying that she felt forced into doing it (half true) and that upon reassurance that she didn’t have to if she didn’t want to she has opted out and if anyone asks where the picture is from he tells them that it was photoshopped.
And optionally he takes her place.

Damn, i couldnt be more excited even if battlefront 2 was free today.....hold the phone..
Isn’t the beige beret for SAS
Or are we not going that in-depth
Or are we not going that in-depth
It's definitely Unit ! Tessa working for I wounder when the Dr is going to show up.
Maybe Tessa can get star a ride in the TARDIS.
Maybe Tessa can get star a ride in the TARDIS.
I hate to say this but unit wears red berets also they no longer exists thanks to brexit
I thought UNIT was a United Nations agency. Or did that get changed as well when they retconed UNIT from United Nations Intelligence Taskforce to UNited Intelligence Taskforce?
I think it is UN but I guess the UK branch no longer has funding
I'd like to just say just because the UK has left the European Union it has NOT left the UN. They're not the same thing
Yea I know. But I think it was just a joke in one of the recent Resolutions episodes
UNIT exists when it does, and doesn't when it'd be convenient for it not to. :3
Though the "Yeah, we bailed cause of brexit, sorry, aliens gonna invade now" was delightful commentary

The very old ones they where yellow looking in some episodes.

Babystar, this page was awesome and I can’t wait to see how the story progresses
Does the end of Marek's tail changes colors? Cuz in the first panel it's white and the middle panel is black.
Its a mood tail...so depending on his emotion it changes colour....and its got nothing to do with the fact i cocked up the colouring...
your not human, only humans do mistakes :P nah joke i never really looked at the small details i didn't even realise that xD
As a part time squirrel part time lynx I am doing amazingly well holding an intuos graphic pen and operating a computer...people should cut me some slack
Well I cant be a fulltime lynx AND squirrel cause thats 2 animals so I split the time half and half Though a lynx with a squirrel tail does sound appealing
i was talking what about the part time your padded? :P or is that an 24/7 thing?
It's a 24/7 thing, which means she is a squirrel 50% of the time, a lynx 50% of the time, and padded 100% of the time. That adds up to 200% time, which explains how she can draw so many comics and do commissions as well.
Mate's fursona use to be a fox with a squirrel tail. It was great. XD
Honestly mood tail sounds pretty fun here's an idea Matt in the sixties as a hippie with his fancy mood tail.
Ooo I see, that’s cool! I didn’t know that this character had this
One of my fave sayings "I'm not the sharpest tool in the toolbox, but I can still poke your eye out :D"
It's not really that hard it could be a big base and Matt could only be focuses on their own section and his own men and women.
this page is pretty good Star, I specially like panel 3 where Tessa is angrily holding the paper it kind of looks like she is barely controlling her rage and her desire to punch Matt in the face.
Tessa's a super spy to remain unnoticed in the base by both Marrelis and Star. Now what kind of gear was Marrelis building I wonder. Probably nothing Star would like.
Actually bases usually have hundreds of personnel on an almost constantly rotating basis so you can very easily not know everyone on base
She could easily just blackmail him. If the details of what happpened come out he would likely become a pariah in the ABDL community, get scorned in average social life and perhaps even face a court-martial.
Go Tessa
Go Tessa
Go Tessa
She's a cool lady and I wanna high five her. Can i say she's my favorite character in the comic? Cause I wanna

I wonder how bad it would be for Star though.
I just keep seeing over and over that most people that didn't already have a vendetta against you just don't care about these sort of things. As long as you keep your fetishes away from them they really don't care what you do behind closed curtains. They won't accept it but they won't reject you for it either.
The only one where this isn't really possible is her roommate. She is too close to Star to completely ignore it.

Yup, this is pretty much how I thought it went down.
Also, I have a question. I notice that Merelis and Tessa have different color berrets. Is that something to do with rank, or perhaps unit?

Tessa's beret indicates she's SAS, i.e. British special forces, the first special forces unit and the most respected.
After rereading the last few pages I realized something. Marellis couldn't possibly expose Star with the video he took after making flyers out of it, people would surely be asking questions, they would KNOW he was the one with the video, he'd expose himself along with exposing Star. I feel like he shot himself in the foot with that one. What did you say in the description on patreon? "I thought you were in intelligence, mate" XD
He actually mentioned that exact possibility when he reveals it to Star. I think his exact words were: "You can't see me in that video". Not sure if that'd work like that, but there you go.
It wouldn't matter if you can't see or even hear him in the video, people would still see the connection of the image he put on the flyer and the video if it ever got out.
True, didn't think of that. Of course, I guess by that point the issue is moot, since he'd be able to claim that the flyer was her idea? Not sure, complex blackmail plots aren't my area of expertise.
With Tessa at the wheel, Sgt. Moralis is SCREWED! Retribution thy name is diaperd
Well, it doesn't look like she is an Officer as I had hoped. Is there any significance to the color of her hat?
There's been a couple of people who said she's British special forces.
"Normal barracks headdress is the sand-coloured beret, its cap badge is a downward pointing Excalibur, wreathed in flames (often incorrectly referred to as a winged dagger) worked into the cloth of a Crusader shield with the motto Who Dares Wins." ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speci.....2_SAS_Regiment )
So basically she should be considered Scary Beyond All Reason. XD

So she's the equivalent of US's "Delta Force", or "Seal Team". Gotcha, thanks.
I love these story pieces way more than the fetish-y ones. Absolutely enjoyable.
Giggles >;3 Foxys gonna have pamps on his fluffy butt in the next few pages :P
i wana see how he was forcefuly dressed >:3c I want to see the athentic panic in his smug adorable eyes~!
Oh my god he is sooo stupid oh my god it's such an obvious treap
CHESSMAT. Karma gonna hit him sooo good!. Tessa and Manda make sure of that.
This is sooo dark, and I really feel ashamed to enjoy this
The saying "Keep your friends close and your Enemies closer." fits this page to well i love it so much <3 keep up the amazing work Star.
Don’t know why but I really needed to read these last two pages, somehow made me feel slightly better. FYI I’ve never been in a situation like this so it’s even more weird
I’m not spoiling anything, I haven’t seen the patreon pages, I swear
I hypothesize Marellis is gonna be a snivelling little baby when he learns he’s not allowed back to any of the Abdl events

Maybe I have an advantage as the reader, but wow he walked right into that. I can't believe he fell for that.
Giving people what they want to hear can be a very effective way to fool them. Especially when they're entitled egotistical pricks like Marellis.
Careful there Tessa, the ego might give you burns with how much its flaring off Marellis
oh man tessa had him in her crosshairs for sure as soon as she saw the flyer :O
he was pretty much doing skippy jumps of happiness straight into the white unmarked van
Yea I've been checking every 5 minutes since 9:30 lol. Maby it's just a late upload? Hopefully
Hold on.....if Tessa is wearing a Sand coloured Beret that means she is part of the S.A.S. as they are the only British Army unit that wears them.
Ya, there are like 30 other comments confirming that...
Hey just a heads up one of the panels the color is a bit messed up some of the blue is still visible
yeah this page is a bit trickier than the others as the original file accidentally got flattened, so colouring it without major extensive work was actually gonna be a problem/ So this is as good as this page is gonna get until i have to do a proper draw over when it comes to publishing.
