There it was again, the tiny creature. An entire life of a living and thinking thing barely held in my hands... A chill grew through me when I realized how easily I could have killed him, now in many cases. My hand was idly reaching up to prod the man. Worry struck me as he barely moved ever since I spit him out. Could he be playing dead? I can see him breathing... He can't be dead... Maybe asleep? Unconcious, more likely. As much as I tried to grab him with my... I guess it must have scared him too much, and I can't even imagine how he must feel...
It wasn't clear to me where, or why, we had to go. I just knew that if we stayed in the destroyed tiny city that sooner or later, I won't get so lucky with another Rynar. A wince shot up my face with every hobbled step. Who knew that these creatures could launch metal poles... Did he mean to hurt me with that? So many questions, and yet even if he was awake, I couldn't ask them! I'm wasting valuable time with this. I'm bleeding out, and if I don't do something soon the-. . . I need to keep this creature safe.
With the Rynar unconscious or dead, the titanic mouse would spit back up the human. She was looking at the poor man in her hands with heavy guilt gripping her heart, despite his now several attempts at her life. The mouse would find purchase in trying her best to help the tiny creature, toting him off far out of town and to the mountainous range nearby. Its leg made it almost unbearable with stings of pain, yet it pressured herself on with a glance to her hands again.
Little would either know of the long weeks ahead of them. The two with injured legs and the rodent's only communication device damaged in the brawl against the lizard. The Tordenchi finally would take rest against a mountainside. Having followed the empty roads further into the large summits and cliffs. The explosive power of the tiny creatures would strike fear deep into the mouse. Having had only a short briefing before its vessel was shot down. As careful as it could be, it would set the still unconscious human down onto the grass. Soon the mouse began working on cauterizing its leg wound with a welding torch, doing its best not to stir the human awake...

This is my favorite part so far! I'm glad we're finally seeing and reading things from Alice's perspective! I wonder what'll be Warren's reaction when he wakes up and realizes that the giant mouse alien woman saved his life.
Oh those eyes are showing everything. You can tell how concerned she is for him. I love the reflective detail. Amazing.
Such beautiful, expressive eyes, and we can witness the delicacy of her touch in the way her hands are poised. We only glimpse small parts of her in this picture, but the parts we do see speak volumes.
I can't wait to see the next part X3 The idea of two 'enemies' interacting with each other has always been really appealing in my eyes!
It's bittersweet because I know it's gonna be a while before the next one is posted. I wanna know what happens next.
Now this is a mouse to feel bad for. ^^: Even considering how she had to seriously improvise with that catch, she never wanted to actually hurt him, and knows that he doesn't know that, and now we finally know that for sure.
Even considering that those two are likely to get incredibly close, it doesn't change that the day they met is probably one of the worst of both their lives, and it may be even more so for Alice considering everything she's been through from the crash and onward. Just give this girl a hug or something. ^^;;
As for what shows here though, her eyes are amazing here, between the reflections of what's happened and just her expression itself. that look pulls at the heart strings.
The way she's holding Warren too, she delicate, or at least as much as she can be. She knows this is this fragile little being, even as dangerous as he Could be, he's had it just as bad and she's scared him pretty badly. Interesting moment to decide that she's going to try and protect him. even knowing the trouble that they'll both have.

And trust me, there will be a lot of trouble because of this moment. Whether Alice meant it or not~
Sounds like they're both in pretty bad shape. Hope they can find some other help.
