From the depths of the Antarctic Ocean, a new breed of horror seethes forth!
Over the past several weeks I've been working on this piece in short, half hour intervals as a warm up before getting myself started working on commissions. Today was the day I was finally able to finish it, and I have to say I'm fairly happy with the results! This was my first ever time completing a lineless, fully digital painting, and while it's safe to say I still have a lot to learn I'm happy with what I was able to produce nevertheless.
Fishmen and other half human, half aquatic monsters are one of my favorite tropes in film and fiction, and it was a blast to try my hand at one. I look forward to experimenting with a lot more monster based paintings in the future after all of my obligations have been completed.

Stuff like this brings me back to the wonderful B horror movies where the poster was all cool and scary, but the monster was just a guy in a costume and you could clearly see zipper on his back.
Decent painting practice, keep it up! Hope to see more painted stuff from you.

Lovely! Big fan of Lovecraftian creatures of which something like this would fit right in with. The movie poster version is perfectly retro as well 💛
